Tony was standing by the door when I walked in. He followed behind, his words not so clear as my mind wasn’t in the room with me. “Not now, Tony!” I sent him away in anger. I hurried up the stairs but stopped half way. The tears brewing in me had somehow taken the strength from me. Or was it Elena’s slap? I clutched my chest and pulled away from the railing, leaning against the wall and letting the tears stream down uncontrollably. The music in the hall was nothing conpared to the rhythms of pain in my heart.

Putting the car in ignition, the engine roared to life before we drove away from the school, heading towards our destination. I knew you were trouble by Taylor Swift played on the music and I started singing along, my fingers tapping on the steering wheel in rhythm. "You like music." He stated, breaking through the silence, music was doing a good job in filling. "Who doesn't?" I asked him, because people not liking music is same as people not having an idea it exists. Because however knows of it's existence is in love with it.

A casual observer would never guess what we’d done barely twenty minutes ago in a soundproof office built for sin. But I knew. My body still ached in the best way. My underwear stuck damp against my skin, and every bump of the elevator made it worse. I tried not to look at him. Failed. His eyes flicked to mine once. Just once. And in that half-second, everything ignited. A muscle flexed in his jaw. That was all. But it was enough. Halfway to the ground floor, the elevator jolted. A soft mechanical hum stalled. The lights flickered.

I murmured. Arrow’s smile widened. Too calm. Too sharp. “Of course. But worry can be dangerous, can’t it? It creates attachments. Attachments lead to interference.” He stepped closer, his fingers brushing a strand of hair behind my ear. His touch was feather-light, but my heart thundered. 💓 “You wouldn’t want anyone interfering, would you, Palmer?” I shook my head quickly. “No.” “Good girl.” The words were velvet and poison. He kissed my forehead, lingering a moment too long, then whispered, “You belong to me. Don’t forget that.”

His hesitantly brings his fingers to my tattoo, his touch ghosting over my skin. I scrutinize the tattooed letters on his fingers. A, M, L, R, O. They don't spell anything but here I am, telling myself that they probably stand for something. He's barely touching me but my entire body is on fire, I want his touch so bad it hurts my chest. I feel like I'm trapped in a small box and I can't breathe or move or think. Our eyes lock and I realize that we're both panting, chests heaving, fucking electrifying.
