Trembling with fear, Lilian stood at the entrance of the bedroom, unable to move, and watched as two naked men appeared out of nowhere. The two men were tied back-to-back with nylon ropes. Their clothes were thrown aside, and a section of their hair was shaved bald, which looked ridiculously funny. Their mouths were taped shut, and their faces were drawn with various cartoon characters - SpongeBob SquarePants, Doraemon, Snoopy, Mickey Mouse - and there were also drawings of hamburgers, ice cream, and dresses... How did someone manage to draw so many patterns on their faces? How did the artist come up with so many childish designs?

I corrected, caressing his hair with a smile just before one of his other drawings caught my interest. “Can I see this?” I gestured to the drawing of the three stick figures that was beside his current work. “Yes.” “Thanks, sweetie,” I beamed, as I studied the stick figures, wondering who the three people were, although I had an inkling that the two shorter ones were supposed to be him and I. The third one was taller and slightly larger and I couldn't place a finger on who it could be. “Who are these people?” I asked, and he averted his focus from his work in progress to look at the drawing.

A little boy shyly moved forward. “H-hi.” The little boy mumbled. He looked like Takumi except with black hair and brown eyes. Before Takumi could say anything, Twilight was already obsessing over the little guy. “Oh my Goddess. You're the most adorable thing I've ever seen.” She said while pinching both his cheeks. “What's your name?” “Toshiro.” He replied. “That's a cool name. How old are you?” “I'm seven. My brother told me about you, and he was right when he said that you're pretty.”

For a little guy, he is way too good. There are all different kinds of drawings that are too neat, I shuffle through them, trying to find one to stick on our fridge in the kitchen. I smile to myself when I come across a picture of him and I then there's Jasmine and even Alex, with and without devil horns— that makes me laugh. I pass by other boyish things, like cars, dragons, dogs, dinosaurs and ninjas, lots and lots of them.

I ran my thumb over the photo, tracing her face gently. “God… who are you and are you so beautiful?” I whispered without meaning to. A folded piece of paper sat underneath. I picked it up, unfolded it carefully. It was a drawing — a childish one — done by a child of probably six years old, with colored pencils, the edges already yellowed from age. It showed three stick figures, hand in hand: a tall man with dark hair, a beautiful woman beside him, and a little boy with silver hair and grey eyes, a smaller girl beside him, with a big red heart between them.

Arya had tried modifying those spots several times, but she could not get them right no matter what. Toph was getting impatient. "Just tear me a piece of paper!" Arya hurriedly complied, handing him both paper and pencil. Toph drew fast, probably because he had been drawing since elementary school. His grasp of character expressions was quite accurate, and his drawing was on par with Arya's. If one did not look closely, one might even think the same person drew it. The room was quiet, with only the sounds of pencils scratching on paper. Before long, Toph smiled, handing over a sketch of the same male and female leads from a different angle.

“It’s us! That’s me in the middle, and you—and him! Pancake guy!” Alli’s throat caught. She took the paper, studying it. It was chaos, really. Wild scribbles. Wavy lines. No real sense of proportion. But she knew instantly who was who. Three stick figures: the tallest one with blonde hair and what looked like a beard and motor oil stains on his shirt; the shortest with impossibly long arms and pancake wheels beneath his feet; and her—with what appeared to be coffee in one hand and a heart drawn between her and Johnny’s stick figure in crayon red.

He shrugged, feigning nonchalance. When I opened it, a drawing of a wolf welcomed me. He had a sad little face, with a somewhat fat body and an enormous head. It was a chibi version of a wolf, with a small bubble at the side that read a big sorry. I laughed helplessly, drawing the attention of the teacher and all the students. We were always together. The place, the date, or the time did not matter. We were soul mates, after all, even if he didn’t know it.
