Tara finds me first. "Hey, girl!" I call, lifting a hand. Tara lights up immediately and comes barreling toward me like a blonde missile. "CAT!" She wraps me in a hug hard enough to crack ribs. "You smell aggressive today," she says brightly as she steps back. "I saw Sandra before eight a.m." Tara winces. "Damn. That's rough." Tara is a wolf from Red Ridge, the neighboring pack. Blonde, blue-eyed, outgoing, loud, fearless. The type of girl who could wear a crop top during a snowstorm and somehow survive through pure confidence alone.

“You’re Harvey York…!” “Oh? It’s you.” Harvey simply nodded at her. Tara was his batchmate from college, although they were in different classes. She was one of the famous beauty queens in their college, alongside Wendy Sorell. Her existence was on par to a goddess, and she had tons of admirers chasing after her. Rumour had it that she pursued a career at Buckwood after graduation. Who would’ve anticipated that the two of them would meet each other here? Back in their student days, Tara felt something towards Harvey.

Her voice rang out, stopping Jack just as he tried to flee. "Everyone, check this out! Tara has been having an affair with Jack. All her kids are actually his! These two shameless monsters drained me of my money and even infected me with an STD!" Her words hit the room like an explosion. The crowd's gaze fell on Tara and Jack, filled with disbelief, shock, and utter bewilderment. Some couldn't wait to watch the chaos play out.

Finally, Tara replied. “Okay.” Then another message came a few seconds later. “Dad… I posted a video of me dancing last week. Sitting in meetings with lawyers and investors and reporters. And somewhere in the middle of all that chaos, she had paused long enough to watch Tara’s dance video.

She's a preschool teacher here, and she told me she saw a kid who looked like a carbon copy of Preston! If not for her, I wouldn't have known about this filthy affair!" Tara continued kicking and lashing out at me with a malicious look in her eyes. The onlookers who tried to stop her were held back by the women who came with Tara. Tara looked around and snickered. "My husband is the director of a hospital who works with the Harlan Group. Which one of you dares to stop me?"

--- It was about four PM, when Tara came to inform me that the beta and gamma were around. I hurried outside as quickly as I could, elegantly. As I was nearing the meeting chambers, I heard more than three voices. "Tara," I whispered. "Who and who and who came to visit? Was it just Beta Guapo and Gamma Andrew?" Tara stared for a few seconds. "My lady, I didn't really see with my eyes. Sofia was the one who informed me to tell you. So she would know. But judging from the voices, maybe someone else came along. Although, the voice kind of sounds familiar."

Everyone’s applause went louder as she smoothed her gown and walked towards her parents. “You must be proud of her,” Sarah said. Her words were almost forced. “Yes. She’s genuine. She tries to help people in her own way without photo ops or camera shoving in her face. She doesn’t want credits. All she wants is to make a small difference.” Tara curtsied at her parents before facing the guests. I looked at Revier, who seemed pleased for Tara, or was this another fake sympathy and performance because people were watching him, considering she lost everything because of them.
