Everyone leaned closer, scanning the names together until Quinn's eyes stopped on one that appeared not once, but three separate times. It wasn't Victor or Adrian. Her heartbeat quickened as she slowly lifted her eyes from the paper. "Who," she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, "is Owen Mercer..." No one answered but instead, Adrian rose from his chair so abruptly that it crashed onto the floor behind him, and the color drained from his face as though he had just seen a ghost standing in the middle of the room.
