Be wary…” He reached out, his hand on her shoulder starting to pull her back. A rat leaped out snarling, and Lyric shrieked, throwing her stone at it with all her strength. There was a crack, as the stone struck the rat, snapping its back, but the rat did not appear to notice, dragging itself along by its front paws, it’s yellowed teeth bared and gnashing.

” I said. Nyx didn’t move. “I... I’m not sure.” I increased the brightness of my light and sent it upwards to better illuminate the area, and quickly wished I hadn’t. On the opposite side of the cavern was a small army of armoured rat soldiers standing in formation in front of a huge tunnel opening. “That way,” said Nyx, indicating the tunnel behind the army. A huge rat made its way through the ranks, his armour shining brilliantly. He stopped in front of Nyx. Next to the giant rat was a smaller rat in a hooded robe, carrying a wooden staff. I noticed the small rocks falling from above us bounced off some invisible shield surrounding them.

He laughed at the irony: rats scared of him. But Kyle was faster than they. He zoomed in, using his instincts, on the Queen rat, and darted at her, grabbing her hard on the neck, reaching up, and injecting her. The rat hissed, trying to bite him, but Kyle chucked it far from him. He then reached out and grabbed another rat, and another, and another. In a dizzying array of speed, he managed to prick at least a hundred rats before they could flee from his super-fast reflexes.

The sound, the recent quake, and the smell of blood attracted the rats again, they left their burrows with bloodshot eyes and madly dashed towards the injured monsters. “Fuck! Rhino 4 and Rhino 5 help your brothers! Beenedict get out of the cave and finish the lizard with Skeletor! All the tunneling worms attack the rats with all you got! Earl and Rhino 10 prepare to attack if things go south!” He was starting to get nervous, biting his virtual nail as the rats neared Rhino 3, but the tunneling worms managed to gobble up the fastest ones, then, he hastily moved them to attackers.

The rat fell along with the bag and jumped at Ria's feet. "Ria, watch out!" "EWW!" screamed Ria as she jumped and ran outside the room. The rat jumped on the window rail and tried to get out. Nazia used the same bag to push it outside the window. The rat fell down the window and sat down on their beds panting.

Lira furrowed her brow and murmured, "This rat isn't normal... Why didn't it struggle when we caught it?" Malcolm shifted the creature slightly, still holding it, to get a closer look. The rat emitted a guttural hiss as it flailed in his hands, baring its long yellow teeth. Its fur was sparse, revealing patches of raw, inflamed flesh beneath, and its claws seemed to come to a sharp point, like small knives. "Not right," Malcolm said, his voice low but steady. "No rat grows this size. And those eyes... they're not normal." "It's like it's been... mutated or something," Lira said, her words faltering as though she couldn't even believe them.

Rat Two had already begun backing away. “Rat Two,” Deer Wild roared. “Step forward!” Rat Two froze. He understood. It was over. He should’ve killed Black Panther earlier. Shouldn’t have let him bite off fur. “Big Brother—help me!” Rat Two shouted toward Rat One. Rat One narrowed his eyes. Like a beast about to break its cage. But he didn’t move. Seeing no rescue coming, Rat Two made a sudden dash for escape. “Seize him!” Deer Wild ordered.

Food thieves. The Little tiger grabs the mouse and jumps up a tall tree. He returns the rat to its claws and devours it. Rips the chain off. Rips the bones. Breaks, and contorts the rat in an unrecognizable carcass. He swallows. Leaves nothing behind. It spits out leather, hair, and some sharp bones. He gets off the tree and walks again.
