“Figure it out yourself.” He turned to leave, ignoring me.
“Will you ignore me like this if I were a woman?”
He stopped in his steps and whirled around to look at me, eyebrows raised. He didn't respond immediately. He looked at me from my head to my toes before deadpanning, “But you're not a woman.”
“I didn't say I was. I just —”
“Then figure it out yourself.” This time, when he turned, he didn't stop until he got to the door. He ignored my calls and my howls to make him stop. I tried every trick in the book, but none of them worked.
