1001 Dark Tales

1001 Dark Tales

A pair of arms wrapped around me, and I instantly settled into the familiar embrace as both of us watched the sun set over our kingdom. I couldn’t help the squeal of delight that escaped my mouth. I had finally completed my book, 1001 Dark Tales. The look on my editor’s face was one of disbelief when I announced I was stopping all other books to focus solely on that one. I guess writing 1001 Dark Tales takes a long time, four years to be exact. Still, I had written enough books with the help of my quill that I had more than a steady income.

The 100th Proposal

The 100th Proposal

The only difference that set us apart was the fact that I pursued him for five long years. I was just about to leave when I received a text message from Julian. "I'll be waiting for your 100th proposal tomorrow." I smiled faintly before blocking his number and deleting every last trace of him from my contacts. After bidding all my colleagues goodbye, I left the company with my suitcase in hand and headed straight for the airport. ... The next day, Julian kept his word and appeared at city hall in a sleek suit.

Blaze jostled. "I knew I would get along well with you." Emerald cracked a small smile. "You love reading books?" When he nodded, she asked, "Who is your favorite author?" "I have tons of favorites. Some of them are, Napoleon Hill, Robert Kiyosaki, Benjamin Graham, Peter Thiel, Emerald Relish, Ayn Rand, Chris Guillebeau, Tony Robbins, and many more." Emerald is amazed by his knowledge of most of the good authors. "I noticed most of those authors wrote classic or business books, but one of the names seems unusual," Emerald said.

My 1000th Attempt Worked

My 1000th Attempt Worked

Yeah—I thought he was disgusting. Mark just stood there, empty-eyed, then walked away. He never came back. And I never wanted him to. While I was overseas, I dropped papers in top journals, picked up honors I never even dared to dream about. Made it to the world stage. Proved I was enough. No handouts. No shortcuts. Just me, grinding my way up. After graduation, one of the top schools in Carmoria hired me as a professor. Before heading back, I took time to travel. Hit up dozens of countries, saw things that'll stay with me forever—until one day in Ria de Janero, Fiona called.

She then ran towards another person and after a few minutes, she dropped a notebook in front of me. "Let's copy Hina's assignment now while the teacher is not here yet." She said as she brought her notebook and really just started copying the assignment of others in front of me. 'I'm literary speechless. This girl is unbelievable.' She then paused and looked at me with confusion written all over her face. "I thought you don't have an assignment, this is your chance to have one while the teacher is not yet here." "No. I don't have notebooks and such." I then showed her my bag which only contained books for appearance's sake.

The one Calvin had helped her write after they agreed he’d receive thirty percent of the earnings. “She has two of her books in the top ten,” Alicia pointed out, a flicker of frustration crossing her face. “One is sitting right at number one and the other? At fucking number eight.” She exhaled sharply, shaking her head. “Do you know how rare this is? Most authors dream of having just one book break into the top ten. She’s got two, and at the same time.” “Emphasis on how early that is.” “How good is this writer? Just how good is she?” Emily picked it up from where Alicia stopped, still scrolling further even after minutes.

“Emmm, I don’t know, but I guess the best option for me is to acquire a tenured professorship in the same field.” “So you mean, the best job prospect for humanities students is to be a professor who will, in return, admit more students in this major to keep yourself busy and employed?” “Emm, yes? Recruiting students is what tenured professors do, I guess.” Miss Irwin shrugs. “I don’t see why there is a problem.” “With due respect, miss. For me as an investor, keep luring newcomers to get the older ones paid, this sounds like a textbook Ponzi scheme.”

Pertanyaan yang Sering Diajukan

Ever since I stumbled upon the '100 book author' phenomenon, I've been utterly fascinated by how prolific some writers can be. Take Ryoki Inoue, for example—this Brazilian novelist supposedly wrote over 1,000 books under various pseudonyms! His genres range from westerns to crime thrillers, and the sheer volume is mind-boggling. I once tried reading a few of his works, and while they aren't literary masterpieces, the pacing is addictive. It's like binge-watching a TV series—you know it's not high art, but you can't stop turning the pages.

What really blows my mind is the discipline required. Writing that much means producing nearly a book a week. I can barely finish a grocery list without procrastinating! It makes me wonder about the balance between quantity and quality. Some critics dismiss these authors as 'factory writers,' but there's an undeniable skill in keeping readers hooked across so many stories. Maybe that's the real magic—creating worlds so engaging that people crave the next installment, even if it's the hundredth time.
