she asked. Alvin smiled, ready for a kill. "I recently read this novel by a New York Times bestselling author who goes by the name AdelleX. The title of her novel is 'The Woman's Dark Secrets.' I think all women have dark secrets that they are trying hard to keep buried within the four corners of their minds. Am I right?" Briana rolled her eyes. "And does the book satisfy your craving for juicy stuff and endless drama?" Alvin looked at her, wearing a surprised expression on his face. "How did you know that I like juicy stuff?"

He picked up the books that Alistair had given him and decided to read them. The first book he picked up had no name. It was enclosed in leather cover and nothing was written on both the front and back covers. He looked through the rest of the books, they were exactly the same. What kind of books had Alistair given him? He shrugged and opened the first book. He gasped at what he saw. A detailed drawing of a man and a woman both naked stared back at him. He turned to the next page. The man and the woman were locked in a passionate kiss.

"After all, I dont have any basis to show you, I only have my gut feel and its not very helpful at all." "But you're right. My scholar is the murderer." "Yeah..." She whispered. "What are we going to do now? What if we die here? What if–" "Shh... calm down Doreen." Alistair said. "I know this book wont allow that." She heaves out a sigh. "I hope you're right." I hope this book wont really forsake us. Because so far, the only good thing that she experienced inside this book is meeting the author itself– Metamorphoses also known as Prince Alistair. Cheesy right? But that's how she truly feel right now. She's thankful that she met the man who's in front of her right now.

The ride to the top floor had taken thirty seconds, but it felt like thirty years. I knocked. The door opened. Alistair stood there in dark jeans and a white button-down shirt, sleeves rolled to his elbows. No tie. No jacket. He looked almost human. "You came." "You invited me." He stepped aside, and I walked in. The penthouse was stunning—floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city, a fireplace that crackled even though it wasn't cold, and furniture that probably cost more than my entire apartment building. But what caught my attention was the wall of books.

Robin replied getting very curious about what was so special about this The Conquest List. "The Conquest List is a game Evans, Joe, Miller and I play every six months. We tabulate the number of girls we have slept with in the last six months and the person with the highest number gets to win whatever he wants. We also bet on girls and how long it would take to bed them." "What? You're so disgusting. How could you be playing such a disgusting game? Who owns this avatar called AXY?" Robin frowned, feeling sick after hearing what he said.

Confusion and shock swirled in his mind, leaving him utterly bewildered by the unexpected turn of events. "Ryan Alit, your kinks are certainly unconventional. Damn..." Alistair attempted to shift, but Ryan's firm grip on his waist prevented any movement, driving him deeper into the sensation. Alistair couldn't suppress a whimper of pleasure that escaped his lips. To deny that he didn't derive some enjoyment from this would be disingenuous. Ryan was known for his unique and pleasurable quirks, a rumor that had circulated until it became a reality with Alistair. How did it all begin? That was a mystery.

The lines inside it were restless and precise and strangely beautiful, like a private language. Anaan made lists. She found one once a handwritten one, left on the table in the second sitting room where he had apparently been sitting when her call came in and it was not a business list. It was a list of titles: books, she realized. Books he had been meaning to read. One of them was a title she had mentioned in passing three weeks ago, and it appeared near the top of the list with a small asterisk beside it that she recognized as the mark he used for things he considered genuinely important. She put the paper back exactly as she had found it.

I took the paper and opened it. It was a handwritten list, with titles of books I’d never heard of in my life. “Moonlit Surrender.” I read the first one out loud. “The Kraken's Forbidden Desire.” I looked at the next one. “Claimed by the Beast King.” I looked up at Nala. “What the fuck is this?” “Books.” “I can see that.” I looked back at the list. “Ravished by Moonlight. Surrendering to the Fire King.” I raised an eyebrow. “What are these?”
