The Alpha King's Claim Mga Nobela at Kwento

She's completely oblivious to the plan I have for her. I positioned myself on the far side of the table, contemplating my next moves and ensuring that everything goes as planned. To begin with, I need to contemplate the most effective way to kill the King and claim his throne. Though I want to challenge him, victory's impossible; Alpha Kings, with their royal blood, are inherently powerful. People always said that taking down a royal wolf wouldn't be a simple task. Despite losing their mates, a large number of Alphas did not grow weaker, indicating the necessity to complete my research.

“They’d serve you more than me anyway.” Before I could say anything else, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I frowned, pulling it out to find a notification from one of the news outlets I followed. My stomach sank as I read the headline: “Prominent Alpha Addresses the Alpha King’s Latest Proclamations.” I clicked the link, and the live feed opened on my screen. The image of a gray-haired alpha filled the frame—his stern expression and sharp suit only amplifying his reputation as a hardliner. He was known to, in general, have it out for rogues. He’d been behind several bills to start actively hunting rogues in the past.

“Jasper, we can't choose Luther as the Alpha King. He's literally a walking red flag. Scarlet might die!” Jasper ignored her. His eyes were on mine. “By tradition, Luther is meant to be the next Alpha King. And nothing will stop him, not even you, Scarlet,” Jasper leaned forward, his eyebrows furrowed and his lips were set. “Are you in or are you out?” I fisted my hands at my sides. “I'm all in.” I felt like a chicken being led to the slaughter house but instead of fighting for freedom, I volunteered my death.

Kaleth brought his face closer to mine, as he eyed my lips. He hates me and I can't stand him. He won't do it. Kaleth raised my chin. My breathing became ragged. I struggled to break free but he wouldn't let go. Tears rolled down my face as his hot breath fanned my face. He pressed a feathered kiss on the corner of my lips. As if I repulsed him, he loosened his grip on him and stood back. "All hail the Alpha King for he has taken a wife, bringing us the good fortune of having a mother figure - a Luna. May this union bless the realm and may heirs...."

"Fuck!! this really is happening" Micage mumbled, running his hands through his hair. Emily placed her hand on his shoulder trying to give him the little support she could. "I don't quite get something" Thomas spoke from his place catching everybody's attention. "So if the present king isn't the Alpha king and Melissa is the Alpha while Micage is the King. Who then is the true Alpha King, we need just one to rule us". All eyes casted downwards before turning to Emily, the elder of wisdom. She frowned before letting out a sigh

After all, if we could find reason enough, the King could demand the pack to reveal all of their secrets or face the King's army. "Alpha Fin" stated the wolf who lead us to the packhouse. "I present Alpha Cyrus Astor and Beta Dante Clifford of the Golden Moon pack." I looked at each person's face to assess their emotions determined to find their tells. Those on the lower step showed interest in who we were. The Golden Moon pack was the King's pack after all. His royal court and warriors predominantly came from them. Being Alpha and the King's next of kin, I was also next in line for the throne. Our presence didn't seem to phase the Alpha and Luna. Their faces were passive showing no em

The older man's voice thinks for a long moment before answering. "I can't be entirely sure unless I know if he has the shifter genes." Then he takes a beat. "If he's like us, then yes. There might be a threat to his life. If not, then Jean's life is at stake because, after Michael, he's the only man appropriate to lead our pack. He could be the next alpha if Neville obviously lacks his superior genes." The younger male voice is back. "But what about Jean's son? Wouldn't he be threatened since you can't be so sure of Neville's genes?"

’ I looked at Cain emotionlessly. "Welcome home then, brother." That threw him off. He narrowed his eyes at me. "You’re okay with it?" "Why wouldn’t I be?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. My eyes held his challengingly and he clenched his jaw. "Of course, I shouldn’t have doubted you… I just thought since you took the Alpha King title from me… you wouldn’t want me here." "You being here, doesn’t threaten me. I think you forget that I won that damn title, fair and fucking square. Now if we’re done-"

"I am your elder!" "We could rule together." He is crazy. His words are nonsense. But, still, in the back of my mind, I wonder. "Go back to your den," I say. "You're making a fool of yourself." He growls at me. "You would rather be subordinate to Kayla?" he asks. "Of course not." "Then you should listen to my proposition." I pause and look at him. Adam has always been a strange wolf. It does not surprise me he wants to be Alpha.

"I know enough." "Then you know why I can't just sit here and say thank you." My hands have curled into fists in my lap without my permission. "You're the Alpha King. The most powerful wolf alive. And you're telling me the moon goddess looked at everything that already happened to me and decided I deserved a second chance at the exact same thing." He frowns. A cold look settling on his face. "I'm not him."
