It was meant to seem like a whisper but his voice was loud and rough. " Be my mate" That jerked Alpha David to laugh. He clapped his hand again. "I almost forgot the most important matter of the day. Which is why the alpha is here today" Amelia waited. "Alpha Alex had come from his Kingdom, in search of a bride and mate. He was about leaving when his senses caught your scent. He says you are his mate. He wants to take you back to his pack. What do you think, Amelia?" Amelia was stunned. It was when the alpha said it that she believed him.

Nick's POV After sending Eva the message, I tossed my phone aside in frustration. Just then, Wayne walked in with several gift boxes in his arms. "Alpha Nick, these are the evening dresses you picked out," he said. "Should I send them all to Luna Eva?" I waved my hand and replied, "Yeah, send them all. Let her pick the one she likes." Wayne nodded. Then, he spoke up hesitantly. "There's a woman named Zora Knott asking to see you. Should I let her in?"

The wind was somewhat chilly. It was cool and embracing and for a while, it felt like it could sense the beautiful moment. The Alpha was going to celebrate his one year of being on the throne. It was a beautiful moment and every loose end was being tightened to make the occasion a blissful one. The cool weather blew into the house of the Alpha king; Alpha Raphael, the Alpha of the Blue moon park. Luna; Luna Kendra was seated, celebrating for the moment to come after all, her husband was the one being celebrated.

she said, a cruel satisfaction curling behind her words. I stared at her, surprised, a flicker of unease breaking through my composure despite myself. She laughed slightly. "Oh, you don't know yet? I better tell you now, dear sister, I don't want you to embarrass yourself anymore. The messengers will be bringing in the real bride for the Alpha by tomorrow, she's a princess and future Luna and queen of this pack. And you? You're only something the Alpha keeps because he's bored, once he's tired of you, he'll cast you away," she said, the words landing with the precision of someone who'd been waiting to say them, and I felt the ground shift uncomfortably beneath my composure.

“Shit. She’s backing out. Says she doesn’t want to be a surrogate or a contract bride. She says that she is searching for ‘true love.’” True love? My brows shot up. What kind of drama was this? “Shit. Everyone’s already gathered for the wedding. What do we do?” “You’re my beta. Think of something!” “And you’re Alpha Zander of ScarletMoon pack. This is your mess!” Alpha Zander? The infamous, mysterious Alpha? And a contract bride? What the hell was going on? My pulse quickened as an idea struck me. Since I had already lost everything, there was nothing to loose if I became Alpha Zander’s contract bride and surrogate.

After securing my chocolate brown hair in an elegant bun, the maid skillfully adjusted the delicate lace-edged vintage bridal veil. I would wake up every morning to see myself in the mirror covered in scars, but today was a completely different day. All my scars and wounds were concealed, and I never thought I could look this beautiful. Everything felt like a dream, and I wished with all my heart that I could marry my beloved mate. However, the harsh reality came crashing down on me, and I realized that I had to play the role of a substitute bride for the ruthless Alpha. “How long is it going to take, huh?”

He releases me and I feel a tingle down my spine. Without saying a word, he turns and begins to walk away. I stand there, my chest heaving frantically; I turn my eyes towards the young woman with darkened braids. “Hey, I am Reine, you are Alpha’s Enrique bride?” She asks with a smile and I have the urge to ask who she is. Is she one of his wives? Her dress does indicate nobility, I better keep my mouth shut if I don’t want trouble. “The Alpha has a reason for bringing you home as his bride.”

A nervous smile tugging at his lips, awe wide in his eyes as he looked at me. Pretty. Polite. Weak. Nothing like the storm I hungered for. Well, it wasn't a long term marriage, I just have to kill his father and get the hell out of here. “Let the bride step forward,” the priest called, his voice carrying through the hall. My father’s hand closed around my wrist before I could move. Not a touch, an iron grip. “Do not forget why you’re here,” he murmured without looking at me, lips barely moving. “You are not marrying for love. You are walking toward a target. Every vow you speak is a lie meant to keep you close enough to kill the Alpha. Understand?”

She sobbed as her vision dimmed and her stomach roiled. The men snatched her back up as she sagged even more. “She’ll faint at the sight of el jefe’s pene grande.” Herrera cursed. “Tell Ysalane she will be punished if my new bride doesn’t please me in all ways.” Then he grabbed her chin, snapping her head up. “Until tonight, mi novia.” “I’ll die first, cerdo.” Angela forced the words out of her dry, swollen-tongued mouth. “No,” Herrera said, smiling. “You’ll only wish you were dead.”

You can't be serious," someone muttered in disbelief. "I overheard the senior nun mention it under her breath," Kate said with a daring glare at the person who had challenged her. "Do I look like a liar?" A brief silence permeated the air before gasps, and then a loud bout of gossip followed. "The alpha. Oh goddess. I want to be the bride, "a girl said with a dreamy look in her eyes. "The mad alpha is the one you want to get married to? You must be a sadist, Emma", another girl said nonchalantly, rolling her eyes.
