Her face is pale with fury as she marches over, yanking her son away from my grip. He rushes into his mum’s arms and she pulls him into a tight hug. “Who is the boy’s father?” I repeat my question, stepping into her space. Then I’m sure the main world council of elders are aware of it and they should be the ones dealing with this.

For a moment I swear he’s going to shift right here in front of the entire pack. So, when the previous Alpha died and his heir fled, we lost someone who will sit in the position of Alpha of this Pack. That's why everyone decided to make Alpha Carl an Alpha, especially since he is the son of a former Beta who is close to the former Alpha," she explained.
