Poison Magic: Fantasy Collection

Poison Magic: Fantasy Collection

"Why do I feel... so... heavy?" I whisper looking over at Candi, hoping she can give me the answer. "This is where she practices her magic. It came at a high cost," she whispers back. "The whole area is imbued with her magic. And in case you haven't figured it out yet, she's all about dark magic." I'm going to agree with her assessment. The whole place felt dark and twisted.

"Can you or can't you?" She arched an eyebrow. "Don't get impatient, princess. Magic's an art, not a state of mind, that takes time." I groaned. "Then we're lost." Liam snorted. Magda hesitated, her trembling hand held in mid-air. "All right, all right. I can do that. But there's a catch." "There always is," I said to her. "The spell won't hold," she informed me. "It will dissolve if it catches a scent of blood. If you get slashed up in an accident or intentionally and start to bleed, then the glamour will start to unravel until your body can heal itself."

In His Arms: The Alpha’s Temptress

In His Arms: The Alpha’s Temptress

he answered with a calm tone. I crouched beside him and rested my chin lightly on both palms. “That's…poetic,” I replied, my eyes locked on him until he stopped working. “I like people who see what others miss. It's urm…a rare skill. Or maybe a gift,” Ezra shrugged, trying to beat the pride that drove into him. “I prefer the word…patience,” “Oh, I disagree,” I cut in quickly. “Magic is simply making something appear where there was nothing before. You take a moment no one noticed and turn it into something they can’t stop looking at. If that’s not magic, I don’t know what is.”

The Rise of the Frost Dragons (Blue Triangle Series #2)

Arth had his trust in the knight’s hand in handling whatever matters and problems the kingdom was facing now. “Sounds like a man I’ve been longing to meet,” Elicantris said, a hint of delightfulness in her tone. “Well, I cannot argue with that, since purity of one’s heart and soul is the most important requirement to be able to perform the path of light magic.” “There’s one spell he used before that really amazed me,” Arth said, recalling, “It separated a demon’s soul from its host, a human body … I think it’s called Divine Purge …”

The magic within

The magic within

Varrow leaned against the wall, bleeding but grinning. “You should let it take him,” he said, voice ragged. “One less threat to you.” Killian didn’t even look at him. He poured his will into the magic — not to control the shadows, but to change them. He pushed light into them, thin cracks of pale silver running along the tendrils like veins. The First hissed. For a moment, the pull weakened. Daryl’s body stopped sliding. His breathing was shallow, ragged, but he met Killian’s eyes.

Gunpowder, Magic, and Lead

“It is perplexing, he is a really powerful wizard. I suspect he was preserving his magic.” “It was an artifact,” Oren said. “The bastard has ancient magical artifacts he can use to keep magic at bay.” “Knox! My spells worked?” He cleared his throat, “I mean, yes, my spells worked. You’re still with us.” “Branson had a talisman I have not seen in a thousand years. The ancient wizards of old used them to control those who could use magic, often as a way to enslave them. It won’t be easy to stop him, especially if he sees us coming.”

Bullied By The Wolf Prince

Bullied By The Wolf Prince

She wanted me to help her pass on. This new pain came with more information and vision. I could see....things. I saw color and people in ways I didn't even know I could. The inanimate objects were surrounding us, but I saw the little pockets of magic around them. Most of the art here had been made using magic. "I can't help you pass now. Sorry." standing upright took more strength than it ever had before. The world tilted, just a bit, but I remained standing. "It is fine keeper, I can wait. I have been waiting for a long time."

Fated Lovers of Magic: Book 1

Fated Lovers of Magic: Book 1

Lark said then he made a motion of his finger towards a chest box and magically it opened. Earth and Sky both saw the process and couldn’t help but be amazed. One of the lectures was about chanting magic to conjure the power but what Lark did was without any form of a chant. A display of a high level of skill. “Go on and collect the remaining materials for the ceremony, it’s all in the box, then you may leave and go to the final stage and wait for the ceremony,” he instructed unbothered by the amazed look on their faces. Earth and Sky went and looked at the box and they are shocked to see the number of materials inside it contains. This is practically cheating at its finest. They each took o

Leading My Family to Glory

Tyr exclaimed in surprise after spotting him. Clearly, Magus hadn’t enjoyed himself to the fullest. He sighed and complained, “Those things couldn’t last long in the face of my magic. I ended up taking care of them with a few spells. I’ve spent the majority of my life studying Aretuza Magic, but today I’m shocked to learn just how effective it is against those demonic beings.” “Master Magus, perhaps it wasn’t your Aretuza Magic that seemed amazing. Those things are like ants before a Demigod like you,” Tyr teased with a smile.
