Falling For My Brother's Best Friend
The previews end and the movie title appears, and people are starting to get genuinely annoyed.
Quinn groans and drops back into her seat, shooting me a look that could melt steel. "I hate you."
I give her my sweetest smile—the one I usually reserve for charming teachers out of deadline extensions. "Just watch the movie, Princess. You might actually enjoy yourself."
"Doubtful," she mutters, but she's already turning toward the screen.
The movie is about some mafia princess and a prosecutor. She's deep in the criminal underworld—assassinations, money laundering, the whole deal—and he's this idealistic lawyer who believes in the system, in justice, in doing everything by the book.
