Bound by vengeance
Mirela
If I was going to think about something, it needed to be far from their piercing eyes.
I walked over to the bookshelf, my fingers gliding along the spines, looking for anything to distract me. But then, a flashy cover caught my eye. A pear surrounded by three bananas. The title was suggestive, and just reading the blurb was enough to get it: reverse harem. A new subgenre that was gaining popularity.
I swallowed hard.
Was the universe mocking me?
On impulse, I grabbed the book and hid it behind a few others on the shelf. I’d come back for it later, alone, and take it to my room. To cover my tracks, I picked up a random poetry book.
