The Betrayed Warrior Luna's Second Chance Novels & Stories

He spoke words that sent a shiver down my spine. "Layla Lightborn," he declared, "you are my fated mate and you will be my future Luna." The Moon Goddess, it seemed, had favored me. Magnus had chosen me over Mia. Happiness bloomed in my chest like a wildflower. Luna Seraphina, Magnus's mother, took me under her wing. She was strict, and I thought she didn't like me, but she taught me the ways of a Luna, how to support my mate, how to lead the pack, how to walk with grace.

“I found him too late…” At that, something unreadable crossed her face. “You still found him.” My heart ached violently remembering the way he held me while I died. The desperation in his voice, the pain in his eyes. “I want to go back,” I whispered suddenly. “Please… please let me change it.” The room fell silent then the Moon Goddess stepped closer to the mirror. “This is your second chance, Niara.” My breath stopped. “But fate is not easily rewritten.” She opened her palm again and another pendant appeared. It looked exactly the same. The same moon shape and same silver chain.

"There's no time to explain what it is my dear, for it is a long story, just know that there's something you must do, and I promise your people's safety will be assured" "What do I need to do?" "Become Greg's Luna" "What? That's not possible, he's not daft" Leah argued. "Not if he's heart has been tainted with love for you" Fred grinned like he finally got a surprise out. "What? You should know that is a hell of a conclusion" Even though she looked at Fred like it was an absurd statement, she wondered if the mate bond was really that obvious for Fred to guess something close to it. "It's not, I know what I saw Leah, you need to make this opening turn up in our tides so we can speed up with o

“But you didn't.” “Yes, I did.”No, you didn't.” “Yes, I didn't. Don't you see? I've won. I inflicted every wound you wear on your skin. I gave every drop of poison running through your veins and your ‘mate’ is about to make me his Luna.``Is That what makes you think you've won? You used trick's instead of doing it openly and that is how a loser acts. You are no different from a loser.“And?”

“You are just jealous and you are using that scoundrel to make me angry. You are using that nobody to retaliate for my betrayal!” “So you confess that you betrayed me, you motherfucker” Natalie growled at him, completely enraged. “If you are so jealous you should stop cheating on me, because this mark hurts every time you touch your whore!” Natalie said and now she had a little and beat him, but Adam was at his limit too. “Don’t you fucking dare to let him touch you again!” he commanded her. “I was doing my duty as a Luna!” she said “I was being polite, while you were entertaining your stupid fated -mate and I was doing your job welcoming our guest!”

"I have come for you." Ash's face, usually so controlled, was now brimming with an untempered, animal feeling she had never seen before. "You broke the link. You betrayed us. You betrayed me.". "I betrayed a lie. I betrayed a cage. I betrayed a fate that would have killed me. I am not a pawn. I am a Luna. I am a Queen. I am a warrior," Rhea said to them, her eyes blazing with fierce determination. "I will not be controlled. Not by the prophecies. Not by the Goddess. Not by you."

And yet, it was my own warriors who surrounded my cell, their eyes cold and unforgiving, watching their former ruler as if he were a stranger to them. They had deliberately opted to ignore me. Indeed, by that time, I was nothing to them. I was not their Luna any longer. However, that would never happen again. But not this time. This time, I could make things right. Show them what kind of Luna I can be. And that is exactly what I will do. Start now. Suppressing pride, I conditioned my voice to be soft and submissive. “You’re right, sweetheart. I should be paying attention to the wedding.”

"Mason, please… I love you. You have to trust me" He laughed cruelly.“You? Luna of Blackwave? What a joke.” I turned and saw Chizzy in the crowd… smiling. Triumphant. My chest tightened. She did this. "What did you do?" I screamed at her. "This was your plan, wasn’t it? To steal him away?" But before I could get to her, Mason grabbed me and shoved me to the ground. He stood in front of her protectively. “Since you’ve chosen betrayal,” his voice rang out, cold and unforgiving, “I, Alpha Mason of the Blackwave Pack, reject you as my Luna.”

“Then you forfeit…” “I forfeit nothing,” I cut in. “I will fight the Trial as it was meant to be fought. Not with your silver chains. Not with your rigged oaths. If the pack wants a Luna who bends to threats, choose Liora. But if they want one who stands even when it bleeds they’ll have me.” The arena erupted. Some cheered. Some roared in fury.Nikolai’s voice rose above the noise cold, final. “The Luna has spoken. Remove the runes. Let the Trial continue.”

My attention was on the bruise on Aria’s cheek, the slight tremor in her hand despite her strong facade. Someone had hurt my mate. And they were going to pay. “This council is concluded,” I announced. “The Luna ceremony will proceed tomorrow at sunset. You’re all invited to attend.” As the Alphas filed out, muttering amongst themselves, Alpha Kreig approached. “This isn’t over, your Highness. That girl belongs to my family.” “That girl,” I said softly, dangerously, “belongs to no one but herself. And if I find out who put that bruise on her face, belonging will be the least of your concerns.”
