THE DOOR

THE DOOR

They were so confident that the universe would bend to their will as the stock market always had. But the Door was not a machine you could force. It had a will. It had a memory. It was an ancient, intelligent phenomenon that had waited a hundred years for the King and his General. It had accepted the raw Uwezo and the emotional Hekima it required to bridge the dimensions. It had no need for parasites. It had no tolerance for the small-minded men who built cages of glass and steel to hide from the rain. Just as the first man’s fingertips—a billionaire with manicured nails and a frantic scream on his lips—brushed the violet surface, the Door blinked.

Parker, they must keep a lot of company secrets here I thought. Miles made a stop in front of a huge door boldly written CEO and he gave a gentle tap on the door. While we waited for the door to be opened I stood there admiring the piece of art before me, the door was so pretty from top to bottom. The knob was made of pure gold with a little touch of the finest diamonds I had seen. I would be exaggerating if I said the door cost more than the whole company but it seemed true. I was still caught up in my thoughts when the door was opened which made me snap back into reality. My eyes met with that of Miles’ father almost immediately the door was opened which made me fidget a little then he gav

Do You Or Do You Not Want Me, Mate?

Do You Or Do You Not Want Me, Mate?

She was far from home and she was in unknown territory. Finding what he was looking for, he tilted the book with the title on its spine, To Kill A Mockingbird. A resounding click was heard, and the bookshelves parted into two like the Red Sea to reveal the titanium door with a security pad on the side. Phil punched in the codes in haste, and before you know it, they were inside the secret room.

Mafia Boss's Angel

Mafia Boss's Angel

His office was nothing like the rest of this place. We walked down the same long hallway I remembered from yesterday, past the same closed doors. I could hear voices and phones ringing from behind some of them, just like before. At the end of the hallway was the same big wooden door with the gold nameplate that said "Big Jim." John knocked twice, then opened the door without waiting for an answer. The office was huge, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a massive desk in the middle. Behind the desk sat Big Jim, his eyes were cold and calculating.

THE BILLIONAIRE’S SECOND CHANCE BETRAYAL

THE BILLIONAIRE’S SECOND CHANCE BETRAYAL

A giant door appeared, right in the middle of the white page—made from the same dark wood as the book. “The real Gabe is behind that door,” June realized. But before they could reach it, Ink-Gabe pulled all the melting ink into himself. He became a towering wave of black liquid, twenty feet high. “You can’t enter the Void!” the wave bellowed. “If you open that door, the story ends! The world will be unwritten!” “Then we’ll write it ourselves!” June yelled. She grabbed the door’s handle—it was freezing, stealing the warmth from her skin. She felt her hand stick to the wood.

The Mysterious Alpha

The Mysterious Alpha

It made me question if something truly important was going on. I let Craig lead me to the lone door. He brought out a strange card and pressed it to the door. Immediately, the door opened. “After you, my lady,” he pulled me gently into the room. I paused. It was the opposite of the exterior. The inside was decorated with gold and white - it was as if the decorator enjoyed gold. The room was filled with all kinds of people - there was no one to announce our presence. Yet, a lot of them left what they were doing to stare at us.

THE BILLIONAIRE'S ULTIMATE PRIZE

THE BILLIONAIRE'S ULTIMATE PRIZE

Just when he was about to burst the door open, his phone rang echoing across the quiet hallway. “Damm it, Alejandro, fucking go outside” Lynn whisper yelled. He hissed and walked away from the door while she rushed in the opposite direction. I could feel tears threatening to fall. I escaped death AGAIN. Wasting no time, I opened the door gently. Peeping through the wall that divides the hallway and staircase, I caught a glimpse of the lady’s hair and the tattoo on her neck close to the lower part of her ear. That tattoo looked familiar. I couldn’t see her face since she was opposite me. I sprinted towards Denver’s door which was at the far end of the hallway.

Academy Of Cursed Hearts

She fell to her knees, blood pouring from her eyes, her mouth, and her hands. “No…” she whispered. “I… I was so close to it…” “You were never close,” I said, standing over her. “The Door doesn’t open for the strongest. It opens for the most trustworthy.” I turned. And placed my hand on the Door. Runes bloomed across its surface, blue, silver, crimson then dissolved into light. The Door swung open. Not with a roar. Like it had been waiting for me all along. Inside, there was no throne.

so far I love how strong Sydney is and all she needs now is the devoted man to make everything else set in stone. she doesn't need a man but her having one completely devoted to her will make this story perfect, but it is really good so far.

This book needs to pick up speed. One chapter a day is slow to say the least. Not to mention that new story lines are constantly being added without completely ending older stories and developed characters seem to disappear. Is this an author issue or an app issue to secure reader subscriptions?
