Blake is a rogue who has been trying to persuade me to get involved with him for months now. Blake is more audacious than I thought. His grip tightened, and I felt myself being lifted off the ground. A massive black wolf appeared from the shadows blazing with dominance as he burned his piercing eyes at Blake who had paused. Blake sneered but his confidence didn’t seem to match the wolf who seemed unfazed by Blake’s daggers.

Xareth’s voice cracked through the room like lightning splitting a tree. In one swift motion, he seized her by the throat and lifted her clean off the ground. Her legs flailed mid-air, her fingers clawing desperately at his hand. “I warned you,” he growled, low and lethal. “If you dare meddle in my affairs again, or defy my rule, I’ll send you back to the Black Abyss.” The Black Abyss? Even through the pain clouding my thoughts, that phrase echoed in my mind. People say cruel things when they're angry, but that didn’t sound like a metaphor. That sounded like a place.

I wonder what my wolf will look like. My mind shifts to when Reece and his family revealed to me they were wolves and I remember Aaron's transformation. His wolf was majestic and huge. Nothing like the wolves the humans are common with. I recall him mentioning the name Lupus before his wolf came out. I suppose that is his wolf's name. His wolf had midnight black hair but it had the same color eyes like Aaron. It was at least 1.8 meters tall and there was almost no room for it in the living room where he transformed.

From its depths stepped a figure draped in ragged black robes, its face hidden beneath a hood. Not the same woman from before—but something worse. The air around it cracked like ice under pressure, and I felt the shadows inside me stir in recognition.

Meanwhile, Adrian came to my side, and looking at me with more questions, he picked me in his arms. «she needs a doctor, now,» he said and escorted me to the open room, Atlas’s room. I held on to him, it felt weird, he was angry, warm, and afraid, and fear radiate out of him. He placed me on the bed and I felt a bolt of pain in my left arm where the wound was healing, making me scream my heart out; I looked at my hand, seeing black veins covering the wound. «What is that?» asked Hunter. The pain was unbearable, but I knew what was this, black blood, I have been marked.

If it continued like this, letting it leave Dark Forest would mean doom for Blood Dawn and possibly other packs. I closed my eyes, then used the short sword to cut my palm. Holding the fresh blood, I shouted loudly, "I, Alisha Heimann, the Alpha of Black Furies, am willing to sacrifice my soul to forever banish The Lord of Dark into the black flames!" Archie let out a mournful howl, "No!"

And standing next to Darius, a vicious grin on his lips, was Theon Vale. "Look what the wolf dragged in," Theon snarled, his black, evil eyes scanning Rhea and the four alphas. "I said this wasn't over. I said I would return.". And I told him I would come back with an army behind me." He looked at Darius, cold, cruel understanding flashing between them.
