“I don’t know. I don’t even think about it. I don’t like to think about unhappy people. It brings me down.” They rounded a small hilltop, and there, in the distance, sat a crumbling stone ruin, about twenty feet high, the remnant of a fortification from the castle, half-submerged in the river. It was separated from the island, out in the river about ten feet. And there, standing on top of it, glaring down at them, stood Blake. He held a spear in one hand and, standing the way he was, his back to the river and the open sky, he looked like he was the last warrior left on earth.

“Today, you’ll look properly.” Karl leaned toward me. “…If she makes me ‘feel the wind’ or something, I’m leaving.” “You won’t.” She sighed dramatically, dragging her hand over her face in frustration. “You’re right.” The climb started slowly. At first, it was easy enough, just a steady incline, loose gravel everywhere and the occasional roots and stumps of trees breaking through the path. People conversed in low tones, either complaining, actually discussing on the walk or talking about anything to keep sane. Karl did all three.

That night, Blair stayed late in our room, playing cards with Noah until I had to remind her it was bedtime. “Let’s go surfing tomorrow at my secret beach.” Blair suggested before leaving. “Secret beach? What’s the name?” I asked. “Seluna Beach.” she said, clapping her hands. I grabbed my phone and searched for it. My stomach twisted. “Blair, it says Seluna Beach isn’t recommended for tourists. The tides are unpredictable—”

"What? Where?" "On the bluff." I point. "Maybe a few miles away. It's hard to tell." "Have you ever seen it?" Alec is looking at the three of them. In turn, they all glance at each other. "No," they each say. "But it makes sense," Damon chimes in. "With the landscape constantly shifting here, there could be a lot we've never seen. You look in one direction and it's different from what you saw an hour before. Or ... you know, whatever equals an hour here."

Well, they can probably climb the rubbles but it was still uncertain what the other side looks like. After reaching the point of nowhere to go, Byul glanced at Stanley. He want to blame this guy again but he held back the goddamn urge to kill this man. It was probably the best to leave him alive as a meat shield. With a long thinking, the two of them finally decided to climb the rubble.

After finishing work that evening, Blair told Mable he needed to go to Monafett. “Is it about Black C?” Mable asked him at the dining table. Blair served her some soup and said, “Don’t worry. The matters regarding Black C are under control. I’m going to Monafett for more important business related to X.” For some reason, Mable felt slightly worried when she heard he had to go to Monafett. “I’ll go with you.” Blair patted her hand and comforted her. “You have to treat Spike’s throat during this period. I’ll only be away for a week at most. Don’t worry.”

I said, putting my hands on my hips. “Yeah Ridge, why not get some she-wolves up here,” a voice said, slowing down from running laps. They had a large indoor track which seemed kind of funny to me. At Blood Claw you ran drills and practiced no matter the weather, if you got wet or muddy oh well. “Hey maybe our Luna will lead the charge, shake things up around here,” Ridge said, fist bumping him. “Tyra, this is my Gamma, Nate he’s a badass,” Ridge said, looking proud.
