The Book of Mara
I was too busy thinking about Tohr's words and trying to let them settle in.
They still sent a shiver down my spine even now. And it wasn't all fear; in fact, it wasn't even mostly fear. Intrigue, curiosity, and yes, even arousal. Only a truly cold and heartless woman would not want a man like Tohr and to know that both he and his dragon desired me? That just drove me even more crazy. Now that I knew how badly he wanted me, it made my desire grow deeper. Now that he was gone, the itching under my skin was back and had grown worse.
Hell, all I could think right now was the way his skin had felt and the way his mouth had tasted.
