RAYMOND I hadn't realized how many steps the hospital had until I walked them back and forth until my soles ached. Waiting rooms blurred into one another—sterile plastic chairs, vending machines humming, faces too tired to ask the right questions. I paced until the carpet threadbare under my shoes felt like a map to nowhere. When the doctor finally emerged, his expression was careful in that professional way that tries not to terrify you while containing dread. “Mr. Orlando?” he began, as if I might snap. “We’ve stabilized her. The bullet passed through the soft tissue of the upper arm and—thank God—missed the artery and bone. There’s no permanent physical damage from the gunshot itself.”

I said. Sprinting to the bathroom, I grabbed my emergency kit. I cut his shirt open with scissors. There was a lot of blood on his torso. I tried to repress my fear and turned my brain off for any other thoughts in order to let my instincts take over. My hands moved swiftly, swabbing the area and ignoring his faint groan. The only light was from my windows. The bullet hadn’t exited. “Of course not,” I breathed and focused once more. I’d never done a removal except in one simulation before but I knew I had to risk it.

The gun fired. The bullet missed by an inch, whizzing past Riven's ear and smashing into the wall behind him. Riven ducked instantly, eyes wide. "You almost killed me!" he shouted, half in shock, half in sarcastic disbelief. Bella's mouth opened in horror. "Oops," she muttered under her breath, shaking her head rapidly and gesturing that it was an accident. "Give me the gun," he demanded, stepping forward. She panicked again. Another accidental pull.

" She exclaimed. "Hello, the bullet hasn't gone from the same hole but it's gone from the side." He replied to her while turning her down and grabbing her attention. "Huh?" She sounded like He signals her to look ahead. She looks in that direction. Yes, Aaron is right. She missed the target. She shut her mouth with embarrassment. He chuckled from behind. "It's okay! This is just the first try of yours. I’m glad you have been fired without any fear. " He complimented.

Vivienne missed it by a whip when Emilia pulled her out of the way absent-mindedly, allowing the bullet to meet her instead—a slight graze that bruised the side of her waist. A scorching sensation hit Emilia immediately. She clutched her sides and looked down at it to see blood dripping from her waist onto the sand where it formed into mustiness. A loud gasp left Vivienne’s lips as she stumbled back almost tripping and falling onto the sandy ground. Nina shot at her next and missed again when Vivienne dodged to the other side of the car. “You brought a gun? You fool! You attacked us first just keep that in your head” Vivienne tried her last resort at flipping the script.

Fulton clenched his teeth tightly. His face was covered in cold sweat. He glared at Maisie angrily and said, "Things wouldn't turn out this way if it weren't for you provoking such a person." Maisie didn't respond. She lowered her head to check his wound. The bullet hit his shoulder, just a few inches away from his heart. It was close. The person who fired the gun aimed to kill Fulton and frame Jonathan. But it was also fortunate that the bullet missed, not hitting any vital organs. Otherwise, he wouldn't have had a chance to speak now.

“Aim and shoot,” I said to Kiran. “Just not at my head.” We both chuckled and Kiran raised the gun as Malachi joined us. “This is insane, you know that, right?” Kiran glanced at Malachi and then focused back on me and squeezed the trigger. I heard the click of the silencer but felt nothing. “Did you miss?” I looked down at my abdomen and the small circle of blood. My body rejected the bullet and expelled it. The hole closed up instantly.

She checked her cartridge and found out that it has only one bullet remaining. “Shit, this is bad luck” She thought. If she missed this shot, then she is a gunner, except someone comes to her aid. She couldn’t speak into the mouthpiece to avoid the enemy from knowing where she hid herself, because from the way he was shooting, he can’t really identify the pillar she is hiding behind.

Her instinct told her to take the shot, but she couldn't find the squeeze. Then she saw his eyes, and her heart stopped. How? It doesn't make sense from this distance. She could feel his gaze, he was clearly staring at her. Immediately she jerked the trigger, letting the bullet fly, and then she missed. “Shit!” It was time to run.

It was on the brink of stealing away her beloved Jeremy, snuffing out their shared future. Yet, in the blink of an eye, fate intervened. It wasn't the bullet that found its mark on Jeremy's form.
