A few seconds of silence passed between us and she replied, “We have a deal for you.” My eyes lit up at the sound of a deal. A feeling of happiness filled me but I needed to know, was this deal something that I would like? “What’s the deal? Does it involve me and Liam walking out of here?” She shook her head slowly and then breathed out a sigh. “One. The deal is centered around only one of you walking out. And that’s you.” “No.” I did not miss a beat. “Then get me another deal, because I am not throwing Liam under the bus. There is no way that I’m doing that.”
