Anastasia POV: Today wasn't going to be a great day either. Delilah will be coming to the office to finalize the pictures for the marketing and we can't take a day off this weekend as we have to advertise it. I leaned back on my seat and took a sip from my decaf coffee. My eyes were continuously wandering to the clock. Delilah Smith was once again late. Who the hell does she think she is? I called Samuel and asked him to come to my office. The second he stepped in my office, I unleashed at him, "Where in the world is she?"

I whisper in fear. Tsking, and biting his lip, he shakes his head. “Oh, no. Don’t think of it like that,” he says sweetly, his nefarious smile shifting to sweet and beautiful. “I’m just a fragment of dust of what you may term as the devil. So small and useless until I’m given instructions by my boss. In this case, Mr. Memphis, otherwise known as Devlin, and the water of power he pours to me in form of instructions, stirs my little particles into a pile of mud and I get my power from him. But for now, I’m nothing more than a human just like you and everyone else in your little world.”

I interjected sharply before she could even finish what she was saying. "He is not who you think he is!" I lowered my voice so our conversation does not reach prying ears. "Mom, what I am about to tell you is very serious, please do not think that I am insane or suffering from hallucinations, I know what I saw. The Devil is not a man, he is not a human being, he is something else, he is not from this world, you have to get us out of this house, out of this god forsaken country, mom!" Mom did not appear to be the slightest bit shocked, after all the crazy things I said, she was indifferent. I didn't understand it.

When the final progress bar reached one hundred percent, I finally allowed myself to breathe again. Daniel smiled faintly. "Now?" I nodded. "Now." I clicked the video. The screen stayed black for a few seconds before the picture slowly appeared. Devon was sitting alone at the small dining table inside his apartment. He looked nothing like the confident executive I remembered. His shirt was wrinkled, dark circles hung beneath his eyes, and he hadn't shaved in days. Every few seconds he glanced toward the apartment door as if expecting someone to force it open. He rubbed both hands together before finally looking into the camera.

“Because I decide when you get to fall apart… and today, you don’t.” She sank back against the seat, sulking in silence, the sharp ache between her thighs making her bite her lip. He was feeling slightly impatient, which was unusual of him. He picked up his phone, leaving his assistant James, to get the rest of his things. He arrived at the huge underground garage and as usual his guards and driver were waiting for him.

She felt so distant. “This is a fight between the Devil and his demons. That's where you come in, I don't want more enemies.” His words sounded so strange, Emery felt lost. “Talia’s family isn't such a big deal,” Darren continued. Still, she wasn’t convinced. “Even if I agreed, what’s your plan? How exactly do you intend to ‘ruin’ them? And me, how do you want to use me?”

I have taken down the snippet of the chapter regarding Chris being released on bail as it leaves this book on a cliff hanger. This book now officially ends with Roman Proposing and Alex accepting. So, to sum up. I will be releasing more books but for now, there are no plans for Part 3 of The Deviant CEO. I'm sorry.
