I turned to leave the room when the sight of the uniform caught my eye. "Wow, why is this uniform so beautiful?" I wondered aloud, picking it up and admiring its exquisite material. "It's because Elite is a school meant for royals and high-ranking individuals, so their uniforms are of top quality," one of the guards explained. I gave him a skeptical glance before placing the uniform back on the table. I couldn't understand why people held this school in such high regard, but I was simply elated to have the opportunity to attend. Perhaps, just maybe, my status could change for the better. Elite High, here I come!

It is not so much jealousy, probably more recognition and longing. I check the clock. In a little while, students will spill out from their classes, so it is too late to sneak into the class. Instead I go down to the canteen and get a cup of coffee. From my usual seat at the outcast table I have a perfect view of the big room, and I see it immediately when Luca rounds the corner with the rest of the Elite. As usual Julie is not far away from him and I have to watch as they talk and laugh together.

“Can you two stop? One more disruption and you two would be sent out of the class, understood?” A noise spread through the entire classroom and I knew that it was mainly because she had mentioned punishing Lennox and Nerissa. All she could think about what Hayden. Before Hayden had turned one, he was just like any other kid. He would occasionally cry and throw tantrums.
