Each sound Caelum made fed the chamber with something half-sacred, half-obscene. “Or so you were told,” Velis murmured. His voice was almost gentle now, though it struck like a knife. “And yet here you are. His eyes. His defiance. His blood resisting my cruelty as no mortal ever could.” He leaned close, lips brushing Caelum’s ear. “Perhaps you do not even know what you are.” The prince gasped through clenched teeth, his voice shredded but still iron. “I am the son of Ashan. I am the enemy you could not kill. I will never be yours.”

My shock must have shown on my face because his lips twitched like he was trying not to smile. The fae and fairies were notoriously proud races. Most barely tolerated the other kingdoms. Dragons were territorial to the point of brutality. They hated dealing with the faes. Yet here stood a fae holding a position of authority inside the private fortress of the realm’s most feared Dragon Prince. I recovered quickly before I embarrassed myself further. “It is a pleasure to meet you,” I replied politely. Aeris bowed his head gracefully. “You as well, Princess.” Then he stepped aside. “If you would follow me, I'll take you to your chambers.”

He closed it after a while and decided to drop it back in one of the shelves. Just as he was putting the book back on the shelf, he paused. No, he couldn’t leave it behind. It didn’t belong here. Not in this forgotten section. He was sure now that this book belonged on the other side, the part the King strictly forbade him from exploring. He was able to figure this out because all the books that he had seen were merely child's play, and none reflected true stories. They were heroic books that talked about past Lycanis leaders, half of whom Valen was sure had to be fake.

He whispered, sending chills down my body. “Eat baby,” he said, eating his dinner with an evil grin on his face. “I know what you are doing when no one’s home.” “What..” I asked innocently. “Moaning my name, playing with your little fingers inside your silk-tight hole.” He replied and I blushed. “ I guess you seem to know everything,” I said to him. “Princess, your room is just beside mine,” he said opening his room door for me to enter “Every night I hear your moaning,” he replied, licking his lips.
