My friend read them completely out of order by accident—started with 'Kill Switch' because the cover caught her eye. She was utterly confused but also weirdly intrigued. She said she pieced the story together backwards, which was a bizarre but memorable experience. Not recommended, but it proves the individual books have strong enough hooks to work on some level alone.

The 'Fear' trilogy is a direct continuation, but it follows a new generation of characters alongside the original crew. So the transition from 'Devil's Night' to 'Fear Me' is pretty seamless. Think of it as Part 2 of the saga. Don't take a long break between them, or you'll forget some of the intricate plot threads. The overall series order is essentially two blocks: Block A (Novellas, Corrupt, Hideaway, Kill Switch, Dead Man's Touch, Devil's Night), Block B (Fear Me, Fear You, Fear Us).

The protagonist, a quiet kid named Jihoon, discovers he's somehow connected to the school's dark history—turns out his missing sister might've been part of a sacrificial ritual years ago.

What really hooked me was the psychological tension—friends turning on each other, secrets unraveling, and that gnawing question of who's really human. The art style amps up the dread with shadowy corridors and freakish monster designs. It kinda reminds me of 'Sweet Home' meets 'Battle Royale,' but with way more Korean folklore twists. That scene where the hallway stretches infinitely? Nightmare fuel.
