CHAPTER 1 Elizabeth glanced nervously around as she made her way to her boyfriend—Anderson's condo unit. Her heart raced, afraid that, Arthur, might have sent someone to follow her. She had escaped from the restaurant where he had introduced her to the old man she was supposed to marry—the owner of Channing Empire.

“I am here now; too late.” My necklace exploded with light, and my senses caught a vision. I entered into a throwback scene. In The Flash Back— Eight-year-old Kieran was in a Lab. He tied my wrists to a metal table, and his hands shot out. “It's the only way,” he whispered. And injected me with a green substance. In The Present Moment— The vision cleared away, and my senses returned to the present I gasped, griping my pendant chain. “Liar!” I kicked Kieran and sent him stumbling backwards.

"Light, our friendship is important to me. Nothing will change that." Athena nodded in agreement. "Luka is right, Light. We're all navigating uncharted waters, and it's natural to feel a little lost. But our bond isn't something that can be easily broken." Flashback ends Light but could not help but feel unease. She having thoughts and flashbacks of athena and luka getting closer, it simply means there is something that is happening between them or that is about to happen that she is not aware of.

His eyes reflected in her eyes, as if they were shining stars with the outline of her face faintly reflected in them. He reached out and rubbed her hair gently on the back of her head. Then he pressed slightly harder, holding her head and his against each other. "Wow." Suddenly a white light flashed blindingly in front of them, and Jessica subconsciously used her arms to shield her vision. She adapted for a while before opening her eyes. The power was back on. "Oh my God. That's enough of you two..." Alice's voice suddenly came from behind them! Jessica and Christian turned their heads together!

Tears blurred my vision, but the rage on his face was clear. “Gunner, stop it, please” I pleaded. But it was no use. There was no getting through to him, not like this. Tobias is too far away to flash for help, and Gunner is the only other person I have flashed with. I don’t know what to do, I can’t use my powers on him. Not again. Not after the last time. I looked over Gunner’s shoulder and saw Smith and Nat standing together further down the beach, they were too far away to be able to hear us. They were watching Gunner and I, but still totally unaware of the situation. And then it dawned on me. I have become close with both of them. Nat is like my big sister, and Smith is my bestest friend

he growled, “ I told you to leave!” My eyes narrowed on her features, at her hands reaching for him as the sudden realization crossed my mind. She was obsessed with him. Oh good lord, the stupid boy dated his stalker. A real life crazy fan turned ex stalker. I’ve had a run in with a few Shootingstars that is Justin Star’s loyal fan base, and they were plainly putting, inhumane savage beings. “We can fix it! Fix us!” she cried out. “Are you deaf?” I was wondering the same thing.

**Flashback** Mason's footsteps echoed through the dimly lit corridor, the damp scent of mould and decay clinging to the air as he made his way through the underground passages. "I'll let you be," Lex's voice drifted from behind him as they approached the dangerous entryway. "I'm gonna prepare the teams for the attack tomorrow."

I don’t even know what I did… or how I won… “You’ll be fine.” Zedkiel murmurs, kissing my neck just as Kash comes over. “Hey lovebirds. I swear it’s weird seeing you like this, Zed.” He says, smirking at his friend. “Get used to it.” Zedkiel replies, and I can’t help but smile. A faint blush coats my cheeks, but it fades away when our names are announced. I step forward when suddenly my vision flashes and I remember walking through a town lit ablaze with fire… there’s snow… and blood… burned bodies…

“Sacrifices for a new world.” Scene 3: The First Flashback Golden tears streaked Liora’s cheeks as memories surfaced: Two pups tumbling in the grass, Iris watching with a soft smile. Caelum shields her from bullies, growling, “Touch her and you deal with me.” The night they made their blood pact beneath the Rebirth Moon: “We’ll protect each other. Always.” “Do you remember?” Liora gasped, clutching her side. “You promised me.”

“They’d use it to manipulate me. They won't hide it.” Maria doesn’t smile. She watches me for a moment longer, then reaches over and takes my hand. “I’m not saying it’s true. I’m sayingsomething caused that migraine. Something triggered those flashes. And you should be careful.” “I am.” “You should also probably talk to Cassian.” “No.” “That was fast.” I shake my head quickly. “He already acts like a storm cloud with legs. I’m not adding to it.” Maria laughs. “Enid, sweetheart… he stayed with you all night. He hasn’t stopped pacing since we got here.”
