Seven Years Together, I'm the Fool

Seven Years Together, I'm the Fool

"Right. Seven years… I lived off stale bread with you. I was there when the debt collectors came banging on our door. I thought we were toughing it out together, but the whole time I was just grinding myself down alone." Audrey shook her head frantically, terror flooding her eyes, looking completely wrecked. "That's not true. I only ever loved you. Micah was nothing, I swear, it was all an act!" "An act?" I echoed it back, flat and quiet. "Handing him the deal that was mine was an act? Sitting with him while he got his wisdom teeth pulled, leaving me to sign my own palliative care papers alone—was that also an act?" I turned my head back toward the window, where the sun was sinking red into

The First of Her Kind

The First of Her Kind

The Alphas and the entire Royal Council stared at him, their disbelief palpable, the weight of Malakai’s words hanging heavy in the air, threatening to shatter the very foundations of the throne. “Lies!” The King spat, his voice dripping with venom. “It’s all lies!” “Is it?!” Malakai’s voice rose with fury. “Or have you been the one pulling the wool over my eyes? Over everyone’s eyes? Because if you had something to do with this, so help you—” “It’s that little bitch who has you fooled, and you’re stupid enough to fall for it!” The King snarled, his mask of control slipping.

I don’t leave reviews often but when I do it is because an author has done an exceptional job at writing a story that draws you in. This story is one of the best I’ve read on this forum from plot to character development, this story although part of a werewolf trope stands out among the rest!

This is a really beautiful book: very well written with a great plot. The descriptions are intricate & characters complex and loveable. This book deserves to be a paperback! It’s so pleasant to enjoy a gripping story with no grammar or syntactic issues. My favourite book on this platform so far!

Sold to the Count of Erana

Sold to the Count of Erana

the King insults. Chaol- being the egoistic man that he is contorted a fake chuckle, it was so fake that the King assumed he intended it to be that way. "What are you trying to say? That woman is merely a pet." "A pet?" the King stood up, offended. "You call her a mere pet? You made me bargain her just to call her a pet?" "Who knows?" Chaol provoked. "You started it." The instructor's advice came into the King's head. 'Control yourself, do not initiate a misunderstanding with the Count, or all will be lost.'

Bound By Fate: The Triad's Destiny

Through tears, I explained everything to her. “I’m a fool, right?” “No. You’re not, my lady, but I can’t believe it,” she whispered. “I find it hard to believe that the king could do this to you. I’m so sorry.” “He played me. Keen says he’s in love with me,” I lamented. “He is very nice to me and takes good care of me, but it turns out he was toying with me.” “I’m sorry. I had no idea it would turn out like this.”

The King's Forbidden Heir

The King's Forbidden Heir

Cutting to a clip of Alaric my older brother, the King, beaming as if he’d just won a jackpot instead of discarding centuries of royal tradition. I couldn’t manage to breathe until I heard myself murmur, “No. No, no, no.” I dialed him immediately. He answered on the second ring. “Elara,” he greeted with warmth. “Tell me what I just saw on TV isn’t real.” He laughed. Laughed! “I knew you’d be the first to call.” “Alaric!” I snapped. “You’re the King of Averelle! You can’t just give that up! For......for.... a hotel receptionist?”

The King’s Wrong Captive

The King’s Wrong Captive

Marco shifted like he wanted to. Rocco shut that down with a glare. “No talking to her,” he snapped. Marco swallowed. “She’s freezing.” “I said no.” I added a tiny whimper — desperation mixed with defeat. “Please… please… it hurts…” Marco looked tortured. Rocco looked bored. Good. Emotion is leverage. Apathy is predictable. But neither moved. Fine. Let them ignore me. The real game wasn’t with them anyway. It was with their king. And right on cue, the sound of boots on stairs echoed down the basement hall.

Tale of the Mad King

Tale of the Mad King

The budding flowers were swaying back and forth as if dancing to the whistle of the calm wind, circulating their sweet scent all over the place. Two servants walked around the palace when they saw the man peacefully sitting on the big cushion in his armchair. "Is it him?" the younger one asked. The older maid nodded. "I read a lot about him in the books written by the scholars," she said. Her eyes could not hide the amazement of seeing a famous figure. "Very well, then. Be careful dealing with him. His insanity is slowly devouring him, day after day," the older maid warned her. "It is indeed miserable to become the mad king of Grellis," she exclaimed, still looking at the man who was laughin
