Too Late: She Is Gone With Your Baby

Three years into a contract marriage, Elena Voss had made peace with the truth: Adrian would never truly choose her. So when Vivian returned — beautiful, ambitious, and everything Elena feared — and Adrian carried that woman to the hospital while Elena quietly dressed her own burns alone, Elena made a decision. She would be the one to walk away first. She signed the divorce papers. Gave up nearly everything. Booked a flight to somewhere Adrian would never find her. She never made it to the airport. When Elena wakes up, she doesn't know her name, her past, or the man who has apparently been tearing apart an entire city looking for her. What she does know is the tiny heartbeat she's carrying, the worn tan line on her ring finger, and the damaged document in her bag that tells her she once fled an unhappy marriage to protect her child. Five years later, Elena renamed Aria is a celebrated musician on a national tour, a mother to a little boy who asks for a father with heartbreaking persistence, and almost a wife. Julian's ring is on her finger. The wedding date is set. Her life, rebuilt from nothing, is finally whole. Then the tour brings her to Adrian's city. He sees her across a crowded room and loses every rational thought he has. She looks at him the way you look at a stranger and it nearly breaks him. Because Adrian has spent five years believing she was dead. He has spent five years knowing, too late, that he loved her. From Kindergarten Scam to National-Level Payback

From Kindergarten Scam to National-Level Payback

While on vacation, I return to my hometown to help my parents harvest pears. After seeing my Instagram post, my son's homeroom teacher, Ernest Dugan, sends me a private message. "So you sell pears, Mr. Miller? The kindergarten hasn't finalized next month's fruit supplier yet, so we'll order from you. You won't suffer any loss from this deal. I'll pay five dollars per pound. You just need to arrange transportation and deliver them to the kindergarten." I almost laugh out loud. My family's pears are the famous Green Jewel variety; they are known as the "Hermes of pears". They sell for over 100 dollars per pound on average. Five dollars wouldn't even cover the cost of a single pear. Even though Ernest is being ridiculous, I still reply politely, "Sorry, all of our pears are reserved. You'll need to find another supplier." To my surprise, Ernest immediately posts photos of my family's pears in the parent group chat. He writes, "Next month's fruit selection for the kindergarten will be upgraded to Green Jewel pears. If anyone wishes to buy some for personal consumption, feel free to place orders below. The price is five dollars per pound." The chat group buzzes with activity as parents rush to place orders one after another. Three days later, they block the truck carrying my shipment to Windford. Determined to force the sale, they surround the vehicle and refuse to let it leave. Before they can ransack the truck, several military-plated vehicles arrive and seal off the road. A group of officials steps out with stern, angry expressions. One of them coldly demands, "These are pears specially ordered for this weekend's state banquet. Who said you could lay a finger on them?"

Husband by Mistake, Groom by Design

Husband by Mistake, Groom by Design

Even though my wife, Eunice Mercer, is afflicted with touch starvation, she never gets intimate with me over the five years of our marriage. I keep enduring her antics, but all I get in return is the sight of Eunice coming home with a little boy in her arms. "It's my fault for being allergic to you. Let me use this child to make it up to you." Two years later, when I'm about to settle some official paperwork for the child, I find out that his mother is actually Eunice. To make things worse, the staff member informs me that my copy of the marriage certificate is a fake. "Did you get swindled by someone? This is obviously a marriage certificate that's sold in stalls. You can buy a huge pack of them for just two dollars, you know." I hurry over to confront Eunice, only to overhear her conversation with her friends. "Dylan is finally coming back after all these years. That means you'll finally throw the wedding that's been delayed by five years, right? Otherwise, Jayden will seriously think that he's the master of the Mercer family." As Eunice toys with the certified copy of marriage certificate, she says with a light sigh, "Dylan has a rather unique job that requires him to leave for five years. Naturally, I need to find someone who can take care of the child and me. Jayden fits the bill just fine. "Then again, I still have to sell his chastity. That way, Dylan will truly believe that I've never slept with Jayden before." I can only clench my fists tightly as I feel my eyes reddening. Then, I flip through the messages in my phone helplessly. That woman who has always wanted to become my mistress finally has a chance to pursue me.

My Sister's Fiance

My Sister's Fiance

On the night of my sister’s engagement party, my life officially crashes. Again. All because of one name on the invitation. Zachary de Sanctis. My sister’s fiancé. Fiona. My ex, the guy I punched in the face five years ago. Heir to the richest old-money family in Europe. And one tiny detail only God and I know: he’s the father of my twins. For the past five years, I’ve been hiding out in a little town in Oregon, working as the CEO of a IT firm while chasing two four-year-olds who look more like their father than me. Isaac and Isabella: two mini De Sanctis clones with the last name Gómez, razor-sharp mouths, brains that run too fast, and a talent for causing trouble exactly when I need peace. My family knows I came home pregnant and alone. They just never asked who the father is, and I never offered an answer. As far as they’re concerned, I’m still Arabella Gómez, the wild one who lost her way. I thought going to Fiona’s engagement party would just mean a few hours of fake laughing, then a quiet drive back to my glass-walled house in Oregon and two sets of blue eyes calling me Mommy. Until Zach walks into my parents’ living room holding Fiona’s hand… and his gaze stays on my face a little too long. He can’t find out about Isaac and Isabella. Fiona can’t find out her perfect fiancé was mine first. And my family can’t know what really happened five years ago. Hiding a scandal between two rich dynasties is one thing. Hiding two chaotic twins who are basically their father’s face copy-pasted? That’s the real nightmare.

It’s a good story, at least it started off good, and looked like it was going to be better, but then, there were more twists and turns than was needed. The author tried for angst but did not make it, instead evoked annoyance and irritation. It was like gooWTFd

Here below I wrote the wrong review so now I'm writing the correct one. The FL is so weak, I hope she can become stronger and at least be successful in her endeavours because her taste in men is not.The ML is so arrogant, I'm surprised he's even interested in her. Probably not going to finish it.
