I gripped Ronan’s axe, my knuckles white. "You don't build it with light. You build it with the debt." Adaeze’s emerald glow began to flicker as the Widow’s red mist pressed in. "Every wolf the Council killed. Every mother they burned. Every child they orphaned. They are the Fourth Door. They are the pack that cannot be rejected." Kael lunged. He didn't attack like a wolf. He didn't go for the throat. He drove his salt-heavy shoulder into my chest, throwing me back into the white dust. I hit the ground hard, the wind leaving my lungs.

Now that I thought about it, I found it hilariously ironic. Oscar averted his eyes and hung his head, and he saw the pitiful and accusing look in my eyes. So, Oscar was a person who avoided taking responsibility for his words and refused to be held accountable for anything. Where do I even fit into this life? I feel as though I’ve been kidnapped and locked up in a vampires layer. The thought makes me chuckle. I know Lorcan is a hybrid, but he has the look of an ancient vampire. Apart from the fact, he’s built like a brick shit house, and most vampires aren’t. If I hadn’t seen Lorcan’s majestic wolf, I wouldn’t believe he could shift at all. I found the library stationed on the third floor. I was so awed by its beauty that I could barely contain myself. I love to read, and Lorcan’s library has more books than I have ever seen in my life. The shelves go from floor to ceiling!

Blindly, she turned left. She prayed it was the right choice. Come on. Please! Her heart stopped as she made a sharp left and saw the dead end before her. Wrong move. A dead end. She ran right up to the wall, scanning for an exit, any exit. Realizing there was none, she turned to face her approaching attackers. Out of breath, she watched them turn the corner and approach. She could see over their shoulders that if she had turned right, she would have been home free. Of course. Just her luck.

Damn that was when reality hit me that I just walked into a goddamn trap. And I honestly didn't mind being caught in it with Uncle Roy. The man I shouldn't even be looking at. The man that has had his cock appearing in almost all my dreams and thoughts. Looking all fucking sexy and finger licking with just his trousers hanging low below his waist line that I could see that veins that ran down into that v– line I didn't move I didn't even try to breath I just kept staring, staring at those deliciouse biceps that looked strong and hard and rough.
