My eyes stared out into the bright afternoon sunlight, watching with a racing mind as Stone walked calmly down the porch steps to meet the rival club. The new President of the Devils was a very tall, heavily scarred man with a dark, ugly tattoo of a bleeding devil stretching all the way across his thick neck. He sat casually on the leather seat of his custom chopper bike right at the very front of their tight riding formation, surrounded by ten of his enforcers. He looked absolutely furious, his eyes scanning our compound with a deep, burning hatred.

The timer on the screen read: 23:47. Claire’s muffled scream echoed through the speakers as the blade pressed closer, drawing a thin line of blood. Elena’s world narrowed to that single image. The man who had just killed for her, who had confessed his year-long obsession, now stood at her side as the real cost of their twisted union stared back at them in high definition. The devil’s contract had just claimed its first true casualty, and the night was far from over.

But right now all I feel is empty. We sit there until the wine's gone. Until Maya has to leave for work tomorrow. Until I'm alone again in my mediocre apartment with my mediocre life.
