The Galaxy And The Ground Within Novels & Stories

Chapter 26: Arrival at Neutral Ground The neutral ground of the Alpha Gala was a sprawling, mist-covered expanse that lay between the territories of the North and the South. As the sun crested the horizon, the Midnight Frost delegation arrived with a quiet, disciplined grace. Kaelen led the way, but all eyes were inevitably drawn to the woman at his side.

My grip was iron, fueled by desperation and determination in equal measure. I scrambled up, pinning his shoulders back into the mud just as I had done with the ten percent clone. But this time, the ground around us was completely dead. The garden was gone. The sky was gone. It was just a dark, ruined crater at the edge of an empty universe. We were alone in the void we'd created, two halves of the same broken whole.

And the ground beneath my feet opened. Not a spiral. Not a chamber. Not a passage. A void. Pure absence. Pure deletion. Pure unmaking. And I felt the land target me. Not as fulcrum. Not as axis. Not as anchor. Not as vessel. But as.. Error.

I stretched my body lazily and yawned. "Where are we?" Clark asked and I turned towards him. I simply said, "Come with me." I grabbed his hand and dragged him along. He did not protest, but followed me until we arrived at the narrow lane and I confessed, "This is what I wanted to show." The walls of the lane was bright and warm with vibrant colours flashing everywhere. It contained beautiful graffiti art- the various hues of red, blue and yellow blending on the smoothness of the wall. I tugged at his shirt and he followed close behind me. I pointed at one of the coloured walls and said fervently, "See, this is the galaxy and I love this one the most because of it's three dimensional effect."

Well, he makes up to his mind to go back in the house. Eric opens to his eyes; to keep on looking to the galaxy. Unfortunately, the galaxy starts to disappear in the sky. Now, he wants to ask a favor from it, yet the galaxy did not go back to the sky. What he could see to his eyes; the presence of the moon. Well, he goes back to his room. Here, his mind motivates him to go back in the ground; to see to the galaxy again, yet he is getting sleepy.
