The Game That I Came From Novels & Stories

It felt like people were intentionally barricading her from passing. With her head down, Leah made it to the part where it almost looked deserted. She instantly saw the sign that reads Puffs & Liquor; she grabbed a few packs of mentholated cigarettes and a lighter from the glass sliding shelf. She couldn't help but hear children running and playing in the next stall. The squeak of sneakers soles on textured vinyl was an earful, making Leah's face twitch. She heard a small crash and the sound of boxes rolling or tumbling from a higher location and then the squeak of rubber soles fading.

Rather unceremoniously, he dumped me onto the mattress. The three of them approached with wicked intent gleaming in their eyes. “What’s going on?” I slowly asked, lifting on my elbows. “We’ve been waiting around for hours while Claire worked on you. So, we came up with some ideas.” Lysander’s grin was all predatory. “We’re going to play a little game.” My breath hitched. “What game?” “It’s called Watch Me Come.” My brow pinched. “I don’t think that’s a real game.” Lysander shrugged. “It is now.”

She walked ahead while I trailed behind her. . . . Natalie's P. O. V It was a mall, but it did have a lot of things that interested me, from the restaurant to the supermarket, to boutiques... Everything. But the one I especially took interest in was the gaming center. I spent a great deal of time there, trying out all the games. " No, no, no! Don't die! " Xander murmured. I smiled smugly. " How did you learn like this?" Xander's asked, turning to me.

Through my own efforts, I had made Glazed Light’s profit increase by 60% in just one year, and the company became the best jewelry company in the world. Once I finished socializing with these people, I finally had time to go to the entrance to take a breather. “Claude…” A faint voice came from behind me. Before I even turned around, I smelled a pungent perfume. Unable to control myself, I sneezed twice. Someone handed me a pack of tissues. The woman had thick makeup on, and her out-of-style, haute couture gown clung to her chest tightly. Even though she did not quite resemble the woman I remembered, I still managed to remember that I had given Naomi this gown.

“I used to think it would be great if you tumbled from the president’s chair. You always looked down on me from up there. “But now, I’ve thought of an even better game.”

I remarked, then left it at that, transferring my attention to the box I brought with me still lying on the grass. “What do you want to do now?” Adamar asked, following me. “Father brought this game from Earth. You want to try it?” I told him, raising a board game called ‘Snakes and Ladders’ high up in the air. “Sure! Let’s play!” Adaen butted in, leaving the pipsqueak behind a tree trunk, alone and staring at us. It was freaky, but I just ignored her...

I know he felt bad for me and he's probably worried. Today, we were awoken by the sound track of Maze Runner and I did everything to stay awake and drank coffee. That music must have been a clue that we'll play something intense. "Good morning, ex-couples." The game master greeted us early this morning. "Good morning, Master." We greeted him back in unison. "Did you recognize the song this morning? If you are familiar with it, it is related to today's game. Today's game is called 'Meet Me at the Finish Line, Ex.'"

Glamour's POV It all started when I played that fucking stupid game, "just say yes" I wonder who even brought the idea of playing something so preposterous... I shouldn't have gone to that club that night, I shouldn't have let Maya talked me into playing a ridiculous game with a bunch of crazy strangers. And I shouldn't have signed any damn contract jokingly or not.

My territory. Finally. I was back where I belonged. Home. This time, I wouldn't just play the game. I'd own the board. Vegas had no idea what was coming. But they were about to. Real soon.

Jack There was a game I used to play with my brothers when I was young. I had missed it but I was finally going to be able to play it again today. I used to love the game when I was young and even now, as an officer. Then, I would play shoot with my brothers, shifting into wolves and running at one another with our claws when the game got intense. As an officer, I enjoyed shooting at the enemies with my guns, loving the sounds as the bullets popped and echoed in the air.
