The God Slayer Novels & Stories

"Don't move, Julian," Helena said, her voice a flawless melody that cut through the low hum of the hovering drone. "The God-Slayer is a remarkable piece of engineering, but its fire-rate cannot match the synaptic speed of the Continuity's neural link. If you reach for it, you’ll be ash before you can feel the trigger."

“At least seven high-tier gods have crossed the threshold. Their power is diminished, but don’t be fooled, each one can still erase a city.” Lyra didn’t look away from the sky. “Then we don’t let them gather.” The boy drew his blade fully now. It no longer glowed softly, it burned. “Pick a target.” A colossal figure descended directly ahead of them, slamming into the shattered plain in a cyclone of dust and molten rock. When the smoke cleared, the god stood revealed, tall, skeletal, armored in cracked obsidian, six broken wings dragging behind it. Its voice echoed like grinding mountains. “Dream-Bearer. Child of the Fold. Fallen One.”

The moment he took out the sword, the surrounding air temperature suddenly dropped, and an extremely dangerous aura enveloped Alex. Donovan said, “Brat, this sword of mine is called the God Slayer. It can even kill deities. But, once the sword is unleashed, it must consume blood, and all the people hit by the sword will be dead. So, I’m giving you one last chance. Put down the sword in your hand, kneel, and surrender yourself.” Alex was expressionless. “How despicable! It’s despicable, just your character. It’s no wonder that Ynes Larkin didn’t want you but bugged me at all cost instead. It turned out that she’s sick of you being too despicable!”

“Here it is!” They all picked up the pace then, even though Cassidy did it reluctantly, and as Jo sprinted down the tunnel, she saw her mom sitting on the floor next to Christian while Ryker stood sentinel with his gun drawn. Scott wasn’t as good at throwing his light ahead of him as his father was, so he sprinted over instead and quickly laid his hands on Christian. Jo stood back, but she could see that Christian’s wound was in his gut. “What happened?” she asked. “One of those creatures got him in the gut with its claw,” Ryker explained. “Too many of them hit us at once, and we just couldn’t fight them all off.”

“They fear what you’ll become, Luna Star. They fear you’ll break the chains they bound this world with. They fear freedom.” My mind reeled. This wasn’t just about Damon. Or the god. Or even this war. It was bigger. Much bigger. “I don’t want their chains,” I said, breath hitching. “I want peace.” “There is no peace in what you are,” the god-slayer said. “Only destruction.” And with that, she attacked again. Kael was faster now, fueled by fury. They clashed in a storm of steel and claws, Kael protecting me with everything he had. But the god-slayer was precise, deadly, like a force of nature honed over centuries.

Theo drag his body out of the stream to shore and laid back making the huffing sound. It was Theo first battle, and it was the hardest battle of all, and as well as Theo regret not bringing his sword, because it would be a little bit easy, with the black sword, over time during the practices, Theo notice that the black sword was too sharp, and feel regretted and thankful for the person who sold it without knowing anything.

Carlin requested for Adele to bring something to relive my headache, it was another obnoxious brew, I closed my nose and began drinking. We described out experience to her leaving nothing. She nodded a lot but said very little. It was starting to annoy me. “The Hunter God is from a different time of war and bloodshed. He’s the reason why we have senses and physical powers,” She said finally. “It will not be easy going against him. But you have Moon Goddess blessings.” Carlin and I nodded. “Let’s go back to my father. I have an announcement to make.” He said. I wondered what he was going to say.

I muttered in annoyance. "I'm a higher God and can do anything I want," he exclaimed. I rolled my eyes at his narcissism. "I think your a real prick and murdering bastard," I spat and jumped up onto his back and stabbed the knife into the base of his skull. Twisting it against his bones I heard him groan in pain. Yanking the blade out I started jabbing it into him repeatedly. The anger over Fillan and Lexi's death spurred me on as I went into a frantic spurt of savagery. Each hole I created shined a bright golden light. Lykaios turned himself and with narrowed eyes, I buried the knife to its hilt into his heart and his chest cavity exploded in a burst of golden light. Breathing heavily I sat

“To attain godhood, one is to kill the god or the goddess. Now imagine if I kill both. I will be the ultimate. The ultimate form of power. No one past, present, or future will be able to stop me.” “I-It will n-never ha… h-appen,” Layla coughed and blood trickled down her lips. “T-the god and… and g-goddess will n-never l-let… let that ha-happen. They’ll find a w-way to s-stop you.”
