“Here it is!” They all picked up the pace then, even though Cassidy did it reluctantly, and as Jo sprinted down the tunnel, she saw her mom sitting on the floor next to Christian while Ryker stood sentinel with his gun drawn. Scott wasn’t as good at throwing his light ahead of him as his father was, so he sprinted over instead and quickly laid his hands on Christian. A black giant dragon suddenly and slowly emerged from the other side of the forest. Approaching the scene stealthily. Its rough skin was dark as obsidian and long claws which could cut through steel. Its eyes burn brightly like hot coals and an earth shattering roar left its mouth, its razor sharp talons which could tear through anything. The sight of the dragon sent tremors through the men and they retreat carefully.

As the realization that this massive dragon was most likely Murdok Rori grabbed onto the claw still holding her, and she opened her mouth to speak when the sound of Henry’s laughter pulled her attention away. The book was now floating above his hand and as he chanted Rori watched as translucent, almost glowing bones formed into an armor around him and Rori gasped. Henry pointed his hand toward the massive dragon and a zap of lightning shot from his palm straight into the shoulder of the dragon, causing Murdok to scream in pain, but he did not loosen his grasp on Rori.
