My Stepbrother, My Mate

My Stepbrother, My Mate

Xavier*** I rise—slow, trembling—like a man being dragged from a grave. Every muscle screams, raw and unrelenting, as if grief itself has shredded my skin, replacing it with jagged shards of fire. My bones are burning, my heart a hollow echo, a beat I don't deserve. I gasp for air, but each breath feels like swallowing broken glass, tearing me open again. My fingers curl into fists, not from strength, but to stop them from shaking with the violence of loss. Power lingers beneath my skin, volatile and grief-soaked, pulsing with every heartbeat that shouldn't exist without him.

A Taste of the Bratva King

A Taste of the Bratva King

They fall hot and fast, carrying with them all the conversations we'll never have, all the moments he'll miss, all the questions I never thought to ask when there was still time for answers. The grief is suffocating. It fills my lungs like water, makes breathing feel like drowning. Every inhale burns, every exhale comes out broken and jagged. This isn't the manageable sadness I've felt before— this is something primal and devastating, the kind of loss that rewires your DNA.

“Just be thankful, you brat!” He chuckled, then told me, “Gomawo.” Thanks. I rolled my eyes and looked away. “I just don’t want to damage my Frontal Lobes with alcohol,” I said. “Frontal Lobes, my foot,” he said, forehead creased. “What’s that, love?” He’s really annoying! “It’s responsible for cognition, thought, judgment, and memory. Alcohol can impair nearly one of these functions,” I explained. “The hippocampus forms and stores memory.”

The Mourner's Cradle: A Widow’s Journey

The Mourner's Cradle: A Widow’s Journey

Anne wished they hadn’t spoken to that batty old man, listening to his riddles and dead-end tales. The later discovery of alternate tales, crude folklore and legends betrayed by a handful of the old or wandering mad reinforced Damon’s suspicions of an ancient grave site, though there was no recorded information of its existence until Damon’s final research paper. There Damon recounted it by name, “The Mourner’s Cradle.”

Claimed By The Biker Alpha

Claimed By The Biker Alpha

I hold her through all of it, my empathy gift helping her process emotions too big for one person to handle alone. Eventually, the storm passes. She's exhausted, eyes red and swollen, but something has shifted. The grief is still there, but it's not drowning her anymore. "I forgot what crying felt like." She whispers. "I forgot that I could feel anything at all." "You remember now." I wiped her tears. "And you'll keep remembering. More emotions, more connections, more of yourself returning each day." "Does it always hurt this much?" She asks. "At first." I admit. "But it gets easier, your brain learns to regulate emotions instead of being overwhelmed by them. You develop healthy coping mecha

ROYALTY UNLEASHED: MATED TO A VAMPIRE GOD

ROYALTY UNLEASHED: MATED TO A VAMPIRE GOD

I groaned with everything spinning all around me. I gasped for breath, my body jerking up as I took a large intake of breath. My eyes took the dark room, nearly crying out of relief that I was awake, that pain having been something else I had not felt before yet as I sat there it came ten times over. I collapsed back on the bed, turning to my side, feeling like my heart was being torn into pieces. I cried out, loss filling me, feeling some things snap in my head as if bonds were breaking. I groaned and curved myself into a ball. The grief hit me hard, not knowing where it was coming from. I heaved and heaved, sitting up only to roll back to the bed with the tears streaming down my face. The

I Refuse to Divorce!

I Refuse to Divorce!

He said he’d do his best to live on longer just so he could welcome Noah home when he was released from jail. “No, Dad!” She cried at the top of her lungs, desperately trying to unleash her grief. All of a sudden, she felt a gut-wrenching pain in her belly. Blood streamed down both of her legs and dripped onto the floor, forming a puddle in mere seconds. It turned out that babies in the belly could sense it when their mothers were going through intense grief. A pool of blood soon collected beneath her feet. Falling to the floor, she started having seizures as her phone smashed on the floor and the screen shattered into pieces.

It is a great story. Really long but worth your money. Building on one character at a go. The end was abit slow but once you grasp the writing style it gets prolific and you cannot stop until you reach the end. By then there is no more to say.

A journey of resilience & determination to hold onto love, despite the challenges, is beautifully written. Author has a way of creating complex characters & relationships that feel so real. The story is packed with drama, heartfelt moments, and unexpected twists that keep you hooked.

DARK OBSESSION FOR THE REJECTED LUNA

DARK OBSESSION FOR THE REJECTED LUNA

A mind-fracturing pang stabbed through the mate bond, causing a sharp sting in my skull. Flashbacks of her lying dead in my arms on a bloodied bed with my lifeless newborn son on her lap were an excruciatingly painful projection that haunted my mind. Right there on the field, it propelled me into a profound sense of sorrow, misshaping my reality. Woeful waves washed over me, leaving me feeling hollow and adrift. “No. Goddess, no.” I gritted my teeth, lamenting at the memory of when they killed her. I folded over, gripping both sides of my head, spiraling downwards into an avalanche of grief. “This can’t happen again.”

The Alpha's Cursed Mate

The Alpha's Cursed Mate

I was afraid they all would but I cared more about what she thinks of me. Kira told me Brie is aware that the curse shattered a long time ago but I knew how the pain of grief succeeds in warping the mind of the victim. I've been there. When grieving, most of the time, the pain removes reasoning and leaves the victim vulnerable to assumptions, bitterness, rage, and anxiety. Any or all of the above could have infected her so no matter what they say, she'd still blame me for the death of her son. I had every reason to believe that it was so because she never tried to contact me since I woke up and never tried to respond when I slightly nudged at the mind link to check on her.

Sapphire is bold, especially for someone who grew up in the kind of surrounding she was born in. However, I think she's a bit selfish. She's always quick to make decisions that she believed is best for everyone, unconsciously acting on what's best for her. She should learn to think on her own.

The Mafia Boss’s Deadly Little Secret

The Mafia Boss’s Deadly Little Secret

“I’m supposed to just accept that my own brain kept a burning house but erased an entire person who apparently loved me enough to die for me?” “I know it doesn’t feel fair.” “Fair has nothing to do with it, Evans, I need it to make sense.” His voice had risen now, sharp, almost pleading. “Every single thing I’ve found out this week, my parents, the headquarters, my friends scattering or dying or turning on me, none of it triggers anything. I stand there and I feel the grief like a fresh wound every single time, brand new, like I’m hearing it for the first time, because I am. But nothing comes back. Not one memory. Just grief with no substance behind it.”
