The Rogue Next Door

The Rogue Next Door

It’s the first honest thing I’ve said all day. She answers without looking up. “I know.” “I’m really pissed that I can’t.” That earns me the tiniest laugh. “You’re very quarterback about it.” “What does that mean?” “You think if you just try hard enough, you can win.” I consider that. “…Yeah.” “You can’t win this one.” “I know.” God, I know. And maybe that’s the hardest part. I can’t throw a touchdown. I can’t study harder. I can’t work overtime.

Hard to love again

Hard to love again

My obsession with family - I had to let it go, too. Why was it so hard for me to have a stable life when I tried so hard? Maybe it was wrong from the start. I shouldn't have met Levi. I shouldn't have agreed to give it a try with Mr. Aiden Morgan when someone else already lived in Levi's heart. I shouldn't have believed the myth that a man would settle down once there's a child. Crash! The glass shattered on the floor. I froze, my arm suspended in mid-air, as if such crude behavior was something I'd never do. That feeling of trying to please others, wanting them to understand me, swept through my entire body.

PREGNANT FOR THE ALPHA I NEVER MET

PREGNANT FOR THE ALPHA I NEVER MET

"So today, you can do hard things too." I pulled him into a fierce hug, my throat too tight to speak. Over his head, I met Braham's eyes. He looked equally affected, one hand pressed to his chest like Leo's words had hit him physically. "Okay," I managed, pulling back and wiping my eyes carefully so I wouldn't smudge my makeup. "You're right. We can do hard things." "That's my girl," Callie said, her own voice suspiciously thick. Leo beamed, then turned to Braham. "You have to do hard things today too, right?"

People who understood that sometimes the hardest thing to accept is being wanted. And maybe that was enough. For now.

The Alpha’s Pretend Mate

“I know, I was just wondering if tomorrow's going to be like today.” “It might and it might not, you just gotta take it as it comes. If you’re worried about tomorrow's match being tougher than today’s, you don’t have to.” “Why's that?” “Because it can’t get any tougher. Ghe first one is always the hardest.” “And how would you know that?” “I'm the expert remember?”

I liked the story but this book needs editing. Kelsey met the parents twice, there are names misspelled, both the Beta and Gamma are referred to as B and G. I'm not sure if author did that on purpose or just didn't want to bother on character development. There also was a chapter that was repeated.

Forced To Marry The Ruthless Alpha

Forced To Marry The Ruthless Alpha

His hand falls from my face, Hardin's face drops slightly. "Trust works both ways." Hardin sighs, his words stinging me a little. "I don't know how to let you in my head, I'm trying." I argue, irritated that he's shoving it in my face right now. It's not like I can control it. "You don't tell me anything, Katalayha!" He raises his voice slightly, tone exasperated. "What am I supposed to say!? I don't want to talk about a life that I've never had! I am trying the best I can to be normal, Hardin, but the fact is that I'm not!" I snap, shouting at him angrily.

I have thought long and hard on how to best review this book and the most simple answer is that if you are looking for a fairytale go somewhere else this book has a real life ending because life is not all rainbows and unicorns. The story line was good but it took me days to process the ending.

Hardship Taught Me Well

Hardship Taught Me Well

After being abroad for five years for work, I followed the address given by my boyfriend, Gavin Hayes, and arrived at what was supposed to be our future home. The door swung open, and a young woman stood there holding a child in her arms. “Who are you looking for?” Before I could even gather myself from the shock, she spoke again. “A colleague of my husband Gavin, are you? “Did he trouble you with dropping off food for me? “I’ve told him countless times. It’s my second pregnancy—he really needs to stop getting so worked up over it.” She stepped back, then invited me inside. “Why don’t you come in and sit for a bit?” Watching her beam with joy, all I could think of was Gavin’s promise to take

Try Harder

Try Harder

Christan is currently in his early forties. He’ll be forty-three soon. His sons are already teenagers. He sighed, thinking how he could properly parent them. They say adolescence is the most difficult period when raising children. They get a lot of questions. There are bodily changes. You need to teach them about the reality of the world. The value of hard work. They could turn out to be rebellious. So far, his sons have been easy to raise. They don’t say much. They don’t ask much. He rarely hears them complain. And if they do, they complain about the most random things. Completely unrelated to him.
