“Tell the others… patience is a weapon. When the time comes we strike.” The man nodded again, retreating quickly. Behind him, the figure in the hat exhaled another plume of smoke, eyes fixed on the faint outline of the city through the small, grimy window.

Leo tells me as he sits in the chair opposite mine on the desk. Khai is leaning against the wall, chewing on a nail as he often does, and I move inside to my own chair, taking a pew for this apparent storytime. "She melded their souls together with dark witchcraft magic, and that's how Hati was born. Apparently, he has been passed down through the years, his wolf remaining the same, but somehow he has a different name through his life cycles. He's only gotten worse; his darkness out shining anything before it." He continues.

"Welcome, scum," said a man in shorts and a blue polo shirt. The man wore a black hat with the letters HTH on it. A whistle hung around his neck. There was a scar that started from the back of his head and down his spine. He had a clipboard in one hand and a pencil in the other.

“You’d better go outside because when your pants catch on fire, they could burn the whole house down.” Hattie’s mouth drops open. “Are you saying my britches are big?” With a shrug, I say, “I’m just commenting on the fact that you are inventing quite the story to tell my wife, that’s all.” Hattie should give up, but instead, she doubles down. “I’m not making anything up. I was just telling Anna what happened after she left.” “Except you told her that your wrist is broken, which it’s not. And you told her that she’s in trouble–which she isn’t,” I remind her.

He has been such a slippery snake that it pisses me off knowing a menace like him is walking free. “It is indeed him.” Hattos mumbles when we come face-to face with the man. He still has a hideous scar running across his face, making him easier to spot anywhere. “He doesn’t need all ten fingers. You can keep some as souvenirs for the hounds.” Allowing him to leave here intact is not part of the plan at all. “Pluck out his nails. We don’t want him scratching his own face in prison.” Hattos makes his words sound so sincere that any fool would think he’s looking out for Don Zealot.

A man in a shabby jacket and a knitted hat called out defiantly to him - Hey man, come here, there is a conversation, where did you go, I said he came up to me. - Brook-ta-man did not even have to turn around to feel the intention and I was a stranger - it was an ordinary street bandit, frostbitten to the floor of his head. The vampire caught the gleam of steel in the man's hand, it was a knife, although what difference does it make, the vampire ran, heading for the nearest nook and cranny, as if he was running away.

I spit on his eyes, making him growl and cussing. He orders his pals to arrest my hands and they rush to my side, holding me captive. The moment he readies himself again to push into me, I hear the rattling sound of gunshot! My eyes widen as the hat man drops dead onto my thighs, blood flooding around me. "Hmm…Omigod!" I scream, watching as the other guys try to fight the stranger with a gun and balaclava over his face. The stranger steps close, looking quite lean, and shoots the rest of the guys.

“Going once, going twice sol-” “ A thousand grams!” A voice interrupted, earning gasps from the crowd. I swallowed the invisible saliva clinging to my tongue as my eyes searched desperately for who would want to risk that kind of amount on a cursed woman. “That’s ridiculous for a demon, a thousand-“ “She is a Nymph!” A man dressed in a cotehardie and black boots with a feather hat that almost covered his face strode forward. My breath caught in my throat as I stared at the devilish beauty underneath the hat. “A thousand and she’s mine,” he blurted, holding the gaze of the man who stood beside me.

Gia muffled a scream as his coarse skin brushed against her neck. His hands continued to touch her, slipping under the small piece of clothing left on her body. He didn’t care that Gia was struggling. CLICK! The sound of a gun cocking halted the man wearing the hat. “I already warned you. DO NOT DAMAGE THE GOODS! Do I need to dirty this place with your brains?” The smooth-faced man had returned from the bedroom, holding a gun to his head. Slowly, the man with the hat backed away, leaving Gia looking disheveled.
