Like the thin line between goodness and evil. That in us, lies the capacity for good and evil. The first time I read that book, I thought of dad. I thought of dad on his dark days, days when he'd hit mom nonstop and dad on his good days, when he'd smile at mom, act like a good husband and an even better father.
I heaved a sigh as my mind conjured some images I'd rather not remember. I closed my eyes willing them to go away but the images only became more clearer, more lucid.
