The Alpha's Misplaced Mate

The Alpha's Misplaced Mate

She has no names for the numbers, so she's praying they all introduce themselves. "Who's calling?" A girl asks in confusion, and Conrad rubs her temples. She hates doing phone interviews already, and she hasn't even done a single one. "The office of The Society," Conrad informs the girl, and she can hear an excited gasp come down the line. "Hello, this is Amber Adamo," the girl chirps, and Conrad's eyebrows raise involuntarily. She had forgotten the girl applied for an interview.

HIS COLD DENIAL: Love After Divorce

HIS COLD DENIAL: Love After Divorce

And she looked back at him without fear. Without uncertainty. Like she knew exactly how loved she was. I saw an interview once while sitting in the detention common room. Someone left the television running. A reporter asked him the question everyone had been asking for weeks. "What makes Alvara Dane so special to you?" Grayson smiled slightly when he heard her name. Real. Dangerously real. Then he said … "Most people spend their lives searching for something extraordinary without realizing it usually arrives quietly." The room around him had gone silent. Even the interviewer stopped moving.

Be Gentle With Me, Mr. CEO

Be Gentle With Me, Mr. CEO

"I resigned and had to give birth during that time," Calla answered frankly. Hearing this, the young male interviewer nodded and then exchanged a glance with the female lead interviewer. The female interviewer then said to Calla solemnly, "Ms. Sherman, the interview is over. Please wait for further notice." "Alright." Calla knew she wouldn't be hired, so she nodded and politely left the office. Alicia came back exhausted in the evening. Seeing Calla lying on the bed with a face mask, she couldn't help but sigh enviously.

My Possessive Billionaire

My Possessive Billionaire

POV: Selina “Okay, I know the interview didn’t go as planned, but I got the job, Amara! I’m in! Now it’s time to start bringing in the big bucks and start paying off the loan. I’m so happy, Ama, it’s a dream come true!” I let out excitedly as we both sat in our apartment and talked about my interview. There was a moment there when I wanted to lash out at the interviewer. I mean, what has my sex life got to do with the job, what does my preferred sexual partners have to do with anything?

HIS OUTRAGEOUS WOMAN

HIS OUTRAGEOUS WOMAN

Dominic was missing something. “Then what is stopping you?” “Is not that easy, Dom… It means I have to appear... bolder than I am.” Bold? No, that wasn’t Samaire Grainger. She was like his favorite dry wine, a balanced contrast of sharp and sweet. He would have added flowery, considering her secret romantic side, but now he wondered if there was an underlying hint of spice. “You know what? From my point of view, this interview technique is questionable,” Dominic said. “Are you sure he’s not one of those creeps who uses his position to get women into bed? Does he use job openings as a casting couch?”

This one is a bit of a departure from the millionaire romance tropes that E.S. writes often, and I’m here for it! This FL is vulnerable with a secret well guarded. I love how E.S. was able to write this character and her struggles while preserving the dignity of this character. Well done!

A Dangerous Atrophy

A Dangerous Atrophy

Stewart for several years now, so she could tell when he was well and truly angry. “You interviewed her? A cleaner?” Sean raised a slender brow slightly, and the sweat poured down Alora’s forehead. Her whole body was taut as a wire, but she did not dare to wipe her sweat. She carefully told the truth, “During the interview, I judged that Miss Dunn did not qualify for any of the other positions at East Emperor, not even that of an attendant…” Alora said rather awkwardly, “But Miss Dunn herself wanted to be a cleaner here at our East Emperor.”

ok, just finished reading. it's an engaging story.. though i prefer more tragic end, like Jane died and leave everyone in regrets and despair...LOL. also would like to know if Jason Dunn died or survived and what happened to Susie Thompson, Hyden etc.
Lair El Greco
Hands down. Kudos to the author! I cried buckets from beginning to end. Definitely not your walk to the theme park kind of love. It shows you that love comes in different shape and form, not just lip service. It's heavy but no regrets. Wish the sexy scenes could be a little more elaborate, though.

From Donna to Doctor: My Second Life Begins

From Donna to Doctor: My Second Life Begins

The flicker of a smile she was trying to hide. “What are you doing here?” she asked, voice pitched high. I stood slowly, my knees aching, and handed her the envelope. “Adrian texted. Said something important was left at the house.” Someone whispered, “Who is she?” Then louder, “Mrs. Kane?” And laughter. “Our charming Don Kane has a secret Donna?” “No—” Adrian stepped off the stage. “No,” he said again, firmer this time. “She’s the housemaid. What are you doing here?”
