Chapter 44 Nora's POV The interview room was my office. I had chosen that deliberately. Dana Reeves arrived at nine-fifty with a small crew… a camera operator, a sound technician, and a producer who moved efficiently and without unnecessary conversation, setting up equipment with the practiced speed of people who had done it in a hundred different rooms. Dana herself was dressed sharply, dark blazer, minimal jewelry, her expression professionally neutral in the way that told you she had already done her preparation and was simply waiting for the real thing to begin.

Someone who could fall apart and be held—then rise again, stronger. She smiled to herself, tears brimming but not falling. “I never knew I could be this happy,” she whispered to the empty room. ⸻ Killian “Do you think they’ll like me?” Alina asked, her voice wavering with nerves. His daughter stood in the doorway of his office, already dressed for her orientation interview at the prestigious high school she’d chosen. He can glance at the corner of his eyes but Mother Tree was more powerful than anyone and he doesn't want to lie to her. "You see? Liam is honest, he can answer me honestly enough." After 3 weeks to anticipation ,I finally had my interview and I made sure it would happen around the time when Alex was at work ,Cause I knew he would stop me saying it would be too stressful and all that ,but I was way to determined . On the interview day ,I had ordered some formal attire cloths .I warned the maids that I am going to sleep and not to disturb me ,Cause you know if the maids come to know the typically Alex also come's to know . I did the interview and according to me it went pretty well .I was able to answer all their questions properly and confidently .Just as I had expected all the questions where on standard books like romeo-juilet ,great expectations ,little women etc and

I put on my charming smile and walked up to the receptionist hoping the fake smile did not look comical. The receptionist was a pretty dark-haired Caucasian woman with piercing brown eyes. “Hi, my name is Alora, I am here for the interview”, I said. The receptionist looked up at me with her signature smile. “Welcome to NovaMeds, What’s your name again”? She asked. “Alora… Alora Lance” I replied. She gave a frown and looked up at me again. “And you’re here for the internship interview? “Yes” I nodded, flashing her another blinding smile.

I tell him, hoping that my speech sounds believable because all I feel is lost in this moment. “You needed to disappear. I respected that. I wanted to give you space. Please, Dalon, take this.” I hear her pleas in my head as I try to focus on what the interviewer says next, but I no longer see the interviewer, I can only see her tear stained cheeks as she begs me to list, to take the stack of papers that turns out to be the book she worked on. I still haven’t read it, far too scared to know just how much I had fucked up.

The interview started, and it was going so well not until Mila showed up. "So Miss Alina, how many years of experience do you have? Your CV here says 8. Is that true?" They asked "Yes, Ma'am. I have been very passionate about this job, and I worked effortlessly." I replied. I should really be given an Oscar, I'm such a good actress. "So, you wo..." The interviewer was interrupted by some chaos we heard outside. "Not again," she said, frustrated. "What is the matter?" I asked, confused. I could see everyone grumbling and murmuring.

She may not see the man ever again in her life but the virility and the power with a subtle gentleness in his conduct will always keep her fascinated with him. It has been ten days since she gave the interview but Aliza did not receive any response from Richmond Industries. Well, Aliza knew since the beginning that her chances were very remote but still disappointment etched her features not for losing the job but for the fact she would never be able to meet the fanciable CEO again.

The long queues at the agency had receded by this time of the afternoon, so it didn't take long for the three friends to be interviewed. Dohana was the last to enter the the interview room. Sitting across it were six experts. Their leader sat in the middle and he smiled at Dohana. "Dohana, right? My name is Alfredo Marquis, the CEO of La'Casting Corp. It's been a long day for us, please quickly do a cat-walk let's see what you can do." After his words fell, the gentleman leaned back slightly to his left. Dohana stood up, hesitating a little before walking back to the wall.

"Chill, Amaya. You are thinking too much. Just relax and answer the damn questions." "But I'm not confident—" "Of course you are," Eva clearly didn’t agree.Her interviewer was dressed in a stern grey suit with black flat shoes. Her fine silver hair was cut into a neat, practical bob, and she wore just a reluctant sliver of coral lipstick. The antithesis, in fact, of the look Amaya had been trying to achieve! "Hi, I’m Allen, let's get started." She smiled at Amaya.
