One of the guys says, shaking his head as fear glistens in his eyes. I look at him, asking. “You won't?” “Never. My loyalty lies with…” I don't let him finish. I just put a bullet to his forehead. He gurgles, falling to the floor with a thud. The others' eyes widen in shock and blatant fear as I look up at them and ask, “Are you ready to be redeemed by the messiah?” No one speaks. They only stare, mouths gaped. “In the next two hours, Judgment will begin. Your fate lies in your palms, choose wisely.”

CHAPTER 35 Judgment Day They finally spoke. The silence broke, and my world cracked with it. I stood still as the verdict fell, each word cutting deeper than the last. I did not lower my head. I did not beg. But something inside me shook. Stripped. Suspended. Judged. Not proven guilty. Not proven innocent. Just cast aside like I was already condemned. I wanted to laugh. I wanted to scream. Instead, I breathed. So this is how it ends, I thought. Not with the truth. Not with justice. But with fear wearing the

He gave them money too, and some of them actually came back. But that part of him that saw through his pathetic bravado would always condemn him. He was sick, sick in the head, an aberration. “I hear judgment in your voice, father,” he said. “Judgment is of God, and God alone.” “Yet you judge me.” “I do not, don. Speak.”

They bowed deeply to me, tears streaming down their faces, thanking me for ensuring the person who killed their daughter finally paid the price. I met their gratitude with a steady gaze. "You don't need to thank me. Uncovering the truth and ensuring justice is done is simply my duty as a judge." I looked up at the clear blue sky and smiled. 'Mom, after forty years, I have finally avenged you. And from this day forward, I will continue to uphold justice and stay true to the oath I made long ago.'

Marcel's POV The atmosphere in the Judgment Circle was thick with tension. The place was called so because it was the venue for making drastic judgments, such as the one to be passed out today. The vast open space at the heart of the pack's territory was lined with towering stone pillars, each etched with ancient runes that spoke of battles fought, sacrifices made, and, most importantly, laws upheld. Today, it would witness a crime that could never be forgiven .

Ariana’s POV My judgement day had finally arrived. What waited for me down that path? Heaven or Hell? What had the moon goddess decided for me? I held my breath, shutting my eyes briefly as I focused on calming myself. I’d been dreaming of this day for so long it being in front of me felt like a fever dream. It still didn’t feel real, but I knew it was. The heartbeat of beginning thrummed in my chest, letting me know this was the day the skies had chosen. I stood, amidst twenty others, as we were the ones who had made it to the finals.

When I finally do, her eyes are already on me. And there it is again…..that fire. It's not gone nor defeated, just recalibrating. God. She doesn’t lose easily. Neither do I. The judge leans forward and folds his hands. “It's now time for judgement and final verdict,” he says. And just like that, the room holds its breath. And this time, everything feels like it could break.

“Now? Kill on sight. No trial. No hope.” “We fight.” Eryx steel. “All.” “You’ll lose.” Wider. “Entertaining though.” Gone. Slam echoed warning. Hollow room. Marks pulsed—ownership indelible. Fate sealed. “Should’ve run.” Whisper. Softer kiss. “Right choice.” “Death sure.” “Maybe.” Sad smile. “But free. Whole. Together.” “Enough?” “Makes it so.” Foreheads pressed. “All left.” Dawn crept. Morning broke. Judgment day.

Charles replied. Damn! He's good. I thought that question was going to go a long way in helping us win this case, but he just gave a reply that defended him completely. “He's good. You can't get a confession from him easily,” John said. “You have a point,” I replied. “Three weeks from today, we will take the final judgement. The jury will look into everything said in the court, and we will come to a final judgement,” the judge said. That was it for the day.

The blue eyed man fretted bringing a smile to my parched lips. I shook my head. "What was that?" "It's the dead who are calling out to him." Will's grip on my shoulder involuntarily tighten before he pats the bone in apology. "Our Lord is the supreme judge, and every soul has to go through his court, but not all of these souls have had peaceful endings and many have regrets they cannot forget and from time to time while they wait their turn to be judged they protest and incidents like these occur." "It seems like a difficult job." I say soothing the headache that had brewed. "Yes it is." Will says, his ocean eyes looking to the past I could not see.
