The King Of Curses 소설 & 이야기

Atreus inhaled loudly and rubbed his eyes with his fingers for a moment before narrowing his eyes at her with a dark look that she'd never seen before. "Fine, Layla," he bit out with a sneer. "You really want to know? I'll tell you. Ravana is the one who placed a curse on me." "A curse?" Layla asked, confused. "Yes, a blood curse. He was the one who trapped me, the reason why I was stuck waiting for centuries. Unable to escape the pitless black of my tomb," he muttered. "But why?" she asked, confused. "If I tried to explain why that twisted b*stard makes the choices he does, we would be here all night. That is just who Ravana is. The demon you are currently placing your faith in."

Debo: “ You don’t feel very well! It must be because of yesterday's act! The sea was freezing! You could have frozen to death! Kataleya said nothing. Debo: “ Kataleya, what happened? You look very haggard! Why did you try... Kataleya: “ I am a black sorceress! I made a curse! Debo: “ What? Kataleya: “ When I was eight years old I was raped by eight men and I cursed! Debo: “ By the Gods! Men are horrible! Kataleya: “ I made a curse thinking it was protecting me, but in reality I... Debo: “ What plague? Kataleya: ““With my hands, I condemn all men who mess with me. They will die in the most painful way. Every second of mine will be your pity, every tear of mine will be your pain, every sad mem

Even the faint hope of my father’s protection. And yet… beneath the despair, the sparks still burned. The pull I couldn’t deny. The terrifying truth that bound me to the man who had just claimed me like a possession. The Alpha King. Killian. Mine. Or maybe—I was his.

Elara explained. I nodded my head knowing she's right and I have undoubtedly met her. She was definitely the lady that had spoken in the court the other time. Elara paused with washing the dishes. "You don't know. Do you? About the King's curse?" I shook my head. "I have barely spent a night in his manor and the court, just twice did I attended. How about it?" "The Alpha King is said to have been cursed by a witch many years ago through his father. According to what we heard, he has three years left to live and is bound to die by then and with no heir to succeed him due to the curse."

“His sons. Their sons. Every Alpha born of his line.” Silence fell. Not the peaceful kind. The kind that presses on your ears until your thoughts grow too loud. “That’s impossible,” Damon said at last, though his voice wavered. “The curse is mine. It manifested in me, and I always believed it was just me.” The seer shook her head. “No,” she said. “It isn’t.” She turned her gaze to me then. “The curse was designed to awaken at the height of power. When an Alpha would be strongest. When the pack would depend on him most.”

Still, an unease lingered at the back of my mind, and I could feel myself getting restless. I had already visited all the larger packs, but had yet to find what I was looking for. My fated mate. Of course I kept that little part to myself, but I had been hunting for my fated mate for the last three years, ever since my father had suddenly and suspiciously passed away. The death of my father made me the Alpha King, being the eldest of three heirs, but true tradition dictated that if a younger heir was able to produce a continuation of the bloodline before the current heir then they could challenge for the throne and title. My brother Darius was trying to exercise such a clause as we spoke. I

Stories said Alpha King Kael Draven killed trespassers on sight, that his territory was cursed, that nothing lived here except death. I should have been terrified, should have turned back and faced Garrick's guards instead. But I had nothing left to lose. My mate, my sister, my pack, my baby. All gone. Let the Alpha King kill me, at least it was almost over. I dragged my feet through the dark, each step leaving a trail of blood in the wet mud. The trees here were different, bigger, older. Like they'd been watching the world for centuries. The rain got heavier, my vision blurred, I couldn't feel my fingers anymore.

She pushed herself up slightly against the pillows, her voice ringing through the shadowed bedroom with surprising force. “Heartless people… You are demons!” she rasped, each word laced with venom. “You will regret what you’ve done to me. I curse you and your child. On the day I leave this world, I will charge you. I will take a life and ensure you live without peace. My spirit will haunt you until the end of your days!” Her voice echoed off the high ceilings, raw and haunting, before collapsing into a fit of coughing. Even in the grip of death, Carla poured every remaining ounce of her will into the curse.

I mutter through clenched teeth. Elora’s head tilts slightly, violet eyes narrowing. Her demeanor shifts, a subtle change that I barely detect in time. “To break the curse, you must do more than complete tasks and collect…objects.” “What do you want?” I snap, repeating myself. “Dearest Ezra,” Elora’s fingers skim along my jawline, nails scratching at the scruff. “It’s simple, really. You must get the princess to fall in love with you—truly and deeply in love.”

All the whores who accompanied behind her, including her mother, rooted their hinds firmly in the perfect stance ready for war. But I didn’t howl for war. Instead, the large numbers of the cursed stepped out from their hidings. According to the culture, the one who killed the king became the cursed king. I Lucas, I killed the cursed king Kael. And thus, I became the cursed king. The weight of the title settled over me the moment I looked at Kael’s lifeless body. There would be no celebration. No cheers. No bloodshed in my name. In my reign, I want no war. I shall live in banishment of the Moon goddess and feed upon the strays and upon the outcast like we were meant to do until the day I shal
