THE LAST SAFE WORD

THE LAST SAFE WORD

Outside, the northern lights danced green and purple across the sky. Inside, three hearts beat in the same rhythm for the first time. No empire. No enemies. No chains. Just Eden, Aleksandr, and the little lion who would never know his father as anything but gentle. The last safe word was spoken. And we finally, truly, breathtakingly free. The End…

The Last Signal

The Last Signal

“Like it’s… aware.” “It’s always been aware,” Emma answered softly. “We just weren’t ready to hear it.” Lira’s voice was low, almost reverent. “Then this isn’t the end.” Emma stood, slipping the pulse device into her hand. She looked out at the horizon, where the first rays of sunlight pushed the night back one shadow at a time. “No. It’s the beginning. The Last Signal wasn’t an ending—it was a warning. A threshold. From here, what we build will decide whether this becomes our greatest ally… or our final mistake.”

Our Last Fall

Our Last Fall

"Sam, you're the best!" I couldn't help remembering when I was learning to ride a bike as I watched the moment. I kept falling, no matter how hard I tried. Samson eventually lost patience and took me to a hill, saying, "Just fall a couple of times, and you'll figure it out." So, it turned out he did have patience. Just not for me. "Jess, you're back!" Celia spotted me first, waving with a big smile. I nodded. Samson walked right over, like it was the most natural thing in the world. "So, you finally remembered you still have a home?"

LAST EMBRACE

LAST EMBRACE

He asked. "Yes, boss" the person on the other end answered. "Did you send the letters?" The hood man asked. "Yes boss" "Wait for my next signal before you send the next one. Kill them both when the last package is sent". "Yes boss I understand " "Good" and the call was disconnected. ~~ "Were you in a call?" Drizzy asked walking toward Ethan. "Ahh, yes it was the event planner" "Oh okay, how is the preparation going?" "Good. And how was your shopping. Did you buy everything you needed?".

The Last Wolfe

The Last Wolfe

She could hear her own heartbeat in her ears. Then he nodded. "Okay." "Okay?" "Okay. We go together." They drove to Dante's mansion in silence. The city fell away. The streets grew wider. The houses grew larger. The trees grew thicker. Raven watched the world pass by through the window. Her hands were steady on her lap. Her heart was not. She had been to this mansion once before. She had walked through its doors and sat across from Dante and felt his cold eyes on her. She had survived that night. She was not sure she would survive this one.

The Last Descent

The Last Descent

I stood alone in the equipment room, staring at the folder Brody had thrown onto the table. Griffin Lattimer looked older in the photograph on the cover than he did ten years ago, but his eyes had not changed. When Robb had used up his last breath of oxygen at 3,600 feet, Griffin redirected the only rescue vessel that could reach Robb. It was all because Elise Rowe had called in hysterics, screaming that her daughter, Cora, had fallen into the water. Cora had been in the shallows. She had merely lost her footing and swallowed a mouthful of water.

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

She snuck out and drank a beer before the last event began, convincing herself it was not liquid courage. The family section wasn’t covered with a canopy. The sun beat down on the metal and concrete making it as constricting as a sardine can. Not a breath of wind stirred. Sweat coated her skin and plastered her hair to her head beneath her hat. Most other supporters of the contestants had already left for cooler pastures. Through a quirk of fate, Colby was the last bull rider. He’d drawn One-eyed Jack, another rank bull that’d been unridden in two dozen outs, according to Cash. But the last time he had been ridden, the rider had scored a record ninety-two.

As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Only up to the first 3 stories...and I loved them! I wondered why the book was so big but it's broken down with several stories so when I get time, I'll read them accordingly. Pretty well written/edited and certain to make you desire more than you can handle.
