The Last Firework

The Last Firework

My phone started buzzing before I made it out of Adrian's driveway. At first, I thought he had come out of the shower and noticed I was gone. But when I pulled over at the end of the street, the notifications were all from the band group chat. Someone had posted a video from the label after-party. In it, Lily sat beside Adrian on the small stage at the back of the bar, holding my microphone with both hands. She was singing the harmony from The Last Firework, the part I had sung with Adrian for seven years.

Hunting the Last Alpha

The Blue Moon Pack was made up of Werewolves who are related to each other by blood or came from another Pack that has been destroyed. The Last Moonbane

The Last Moonbane

With skill. The kind of speed someone trained for duels would have. I backed up. “Wake the others!” I shouted over my shoulder. Too late. Perran lunged. Not at me. At a girl near the edge of the camp—a tall summoner from the north, eyes half-lidded with sleep. She had just stepped out of her tent when he reached her. One hand—his left—grabbed her throat. The other pressed the earring into her chest. There was no scream.

One last time

One last time

Riley asked " Jesse?, your Jesse?'' Ana asked with a tone that depicted surprise " yeah...we never talk about Jesse, so..." " well, i saw him last night?'' Riley said " Saw him last night?, weren't you with Adam last night?, did he know it was Jesse?'' Ana asked trying to make sense of the current situation. " There is no adam Ana" Riley replied with a big sniff " What do you mean by there is no Adam?, did something happen to him?, wait, is he dead??' Ana asked, obviously confused

I Summoned Death Itself!

I Summoned Death Itself!

Setting his hands in the air, a flick of his fingers sent tidal waves sweeping through the hall, forcing all the demons to wash out of the area “HEAR ME SISTERS FATE! I, EDEN TAPACHULA SUMMON YOU!” Eden’s voice roared like a thousand thunders. Within a heartbeat, smoke filled the hall. Like a treacherous python it snaked between the pillars and pooled before the demon. “Who dares to command us?!” Three figures materialised. In her nervous state, Journee giggled, and it seemed like the lady in the middle turned to glance in her direction. Clamping a hand over her mouth, Journee continued to watch the scene unfold.

The Glass Rose

The Glass Rose

Alessia said as she showed me the digital invitation that was being sent to every major Syndicate head in Europe and America. "A peace summit is just a fancy name for a funeral because she’s going to get them all in one room and activate the neurotoxin through the ventilation system or the wine, and anyone who doesn't swear loyalty to the Architects right there will never walk out of that building," I replied while I felt a chill that had nothing to do with my fever.

THE REFLECTION GAME

--- The Summoning The night before they were supposed to return to school, each of them received an identical message—not through a letter, or a mirror, but in their dreams. THE LAST VAMPIRE

THE LAST VAMPIRE

All because Krishna wished it so. Pat follows me out onto the field, but tactfully separates herself from me as we select our equipment. I have already spooked her, and I don't think that is bad. I wear strong sunglasses, gray tinted. As I gather my bow and arrows, an anemic-looking young man with thick glasses and headphones speaks to me. "You're new, aren't you?" he asks. "Yes. My name is Lara Adams. Who are you?" "Seymour Dorsten." He offers his hand. "Pleased to meet you."

Curse of a Lycan Luna

Curse of a Lycan Luna

"Twenty three years ago, Annalise. Do you remember the five people who summoned me? And do you remember why?" "Melany, Bram, Rudi, and myself," Annalise confessed, casting her gaze to the ground. "Ah, ah, ah," Ammit taunted her. "It takes five to summon me. Who was the fifth?" "Romulus." Romulus. The first lycan. He was mythology, and thought to be long dead, if he had ever really been alive. Gears started to turn, but I fought back the ideas, knowing full well now was not the time to explore them.

The Last Amulet

The Last Amulet

Covering the fingers should be enough for this spell. “Khambasa ga saori.” The revelation spell. A green smoke billowed from where the seal was and I watched as it swirled upwards and formed the image of a little girl. Games, games, games. The devil likes to play games. I smirked. There were plenty of devils in this world, but only two came to mind that was this infuriating. This is either Sufians’ doing... or Nailah's. The thought left a bitter taste in my mouth. Sabrina’s not that experienced in infusing magic yet, so it can’t be her.
