Just its massive presence was enough to make them lose their composure. "Make them get lost," Julian instructed. Edan roared and pounced toward the guards. "Oh my god!" the guards yelled and scrambled away. Jade took out the key and unlocked the door, swiftly entering and turning on the laptop on the desk. Her fingers tapped quickly on the keyboard, and soon a string of code appeared on the screen, scrolling rapidly.

In the distance, they could see the enigmatic guardian waiting for them, its form shifting with the wind. Liam looked at his packmates, determination in his eyes, "We've proven ourselves once, but this trial will be even more challenging. We must stay united and trust in our abilities." The guardian's voice echoed across the plain, "Welcome, brave guardians. Your journey continues, and the trials shall test your unity and strength." The first trial began as the ground beneath their paws trembled and split open, revealing a labyrinth of underground tunnels. The pack had to navigate the maze, but each tunnel was unstable and could collapse at any moment.

The dense jungle had concealed the werelions until they appeared with explosive force. The werelions were the guardians of the Lion's den, the very place Malik had come to seek refuge for Melinda and Kieran. The largest of the werelions stepped forward — he was named Qadaq, and he was a formidable beast, with golden hair cascading down his back like a waterfall and eyes that burned like tawny flames. Qadaq was flanked by two werelions, namely, Cesare and Adonis. "Like I said earlier, you're the one who should announce yourself…" Qadaq spoke with authority, his voice booming through the jungle. "So, what the fuck, brings you to our territory?"

Jaden whispered, patting the wolf’s ear. Leo felt a tear slide down his cheek. The shock that had paralyzed him turned into a fierce, protective resolve. "She’s not a monster," he said to the guards, his voice booming with authority. "She is the Matriarch of this family. And if a single word of this leaves this room, I will ensure you never see the light of day again." The wolf looked up at Leo, her gold eyes shimmering with gratitude. She stood up, Jaden still clinging to her neck, and walked toward the window. She looked out at the city, her gaze fixed on the distant Robinson International tower.

With that, I hung up and blocked his number without hesitation. Liam must have sensed the tension in the car because he smiled and tried to lighten the mood. “Miss Griffin, you came here to start a new life. Don’t let stuff like that ruin it. We’ll be at your apartment soon. You’re going to love it.” I turned my eyes to the sky. The clouds at the horizon were painted gold by the setting sun, and for the first time in years, I felt a weight lifting off my shoulders. I nodded lightly. “You’re right. I’m looking forward to my new beginning.”

"I've hired Daveson as your personal guard. He starts Monday." The room held this. Leonard's expression did not change in any dramatic way.
