The dense jungle had concealed the werelions until they appeared with explosive force. The werelions were the guardians of the Lion's den, the very place Malik had come to seek refuge for Melinda and Kieran. The largest of the werelions stepped forward — he was named Qadaq, and he was a formidable beast, with golden hair cascading down his back like a waterfall and eyes that burned like tawny flames. Qadaq was flanked by two werelions, namely, Cesare and Adonis. "Like I said earlier, you're the one who should announce yourself…" Qadaq spoke with authority, his voice booming through the jungle. "So, what the fuck, brings you to our territory?"

With that, I hung up and blocked his number without hesitation. Liam must have sensed the tension in the car because he smiled and tried to lighten the mood. “Miss Griffin, you came here to start a new life. Don’t let stuff like that ruin it. We’ll be at your apartment soon. You’re going to love it.” I turned my eyes to the sky. The clouds at the horizon were painted gold by the setting sun, and for the first time in years, I felt a weight lifting off my shoulders. I nodded lightly. “You’re right. I’m looking forward to my new beginning.”

His eyes widened instantly, "There seems to be more than one lion. Perhaps ... it's a pack of lions?" He could only grimace as he listened to the lions' voices. "Wow! It really is a pack of lions. They're not starving, are they?" However, he shook his head vigorously and quickly shook off his fear. "Lory Blackwell. How can you be afraid of animals? You're a soldier of the Ans De Lou Kingdom. A bunch of lions shouldn't be a big problem for you," Lory said, who was trying hard to brace himself. In just a short time, Lory soon realized that the group of lions was almost here.

"I've hired Daveson as your personal guard. He starts Monday." The room held this. Leonard's expression did not change in any dramatic way. It shifted, slightly, in the specific way of a face absorbing information it does not welcome, and then it was composed again, and he looked at Daveson with the full, direct, unconcerned quality of someone who has decided that a thing is not worth the energy of a real reaction. "I don't need a guard," he said. "Evidently you do," Lissa said. "You were standing in the sight line tonight, Leonard."

He paused, "And yes, stop their ears too so they get to ear such vile things next time." 'You can not do that. I am, scratch that. We are meant to protect these people not maime them.' He was not listening to me, he never did. Sometimes I cursed the goddess for giving me a viscous wild animal with no restraint. The guards grabbed her and more filed in ready for action. "You would do no such thing," Reign countered looking him straight in the eyes and for the first time in my life with this beast he considered someone's words. He stopped.

I then hear another howl followed by another and another and another, I look up to see that Raphael, Brett and 2 of the others that stood in front of me when the guard beast first approached had all shifted into their Lycans, they were now standing in front of me again. Raphael practically jumps over me and meets the guard beast with teeth and claws clashing, even though the pain is now running through me. I admire the fight in front of me. Raphael is good and I mean really good. I flinch when I hear a loud yell of authority from behind me. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE??"

"How am I supposed to trust you when you bring armed guards to our first date?" His patience running out fast, Liam scoffed. "Are you insane? I'm not the one holding a gun. Your guards are armed too. Drop that shit, or I'm out of here, and I'm taking your share of Lusso with me." Like he hoped it would, Liam's threat worked. Nothing excited Aleksei more than the prospect of money made through shady means. He nodded and signalled at his guys to stand down. James and his men also withdrew from the fight. But both sides lingered nearby. They wanted no repeats.

"We'll do whatever you want Bella." It's raining slowly. The sound of the wolf roaring made Jessy even more scared. He saw two wolves approaching him with their tongues sticking out like hunger. "Help! Somebody, help me untie this rope. Help." Jessy shouted for help while the two wolves came closer to her and smelled Jessy's body odor. As Jessy's and the wolf's eyes met, one wolf lay in front of Jessy to guard the girl and the other tried to bite the rope that bound her hands.

She doesn't feel heavy anymore compared to a while ago. Soheila suddenly remembered the spirit beasts of her friends. Ezekiel forced the golden lion to stay in the dorm to take care of her cub. Even though the golden lion was reluctant to stay, she followed Ezekiel's order. Sirene and Hector's spirit beast were still small and they stayed with the golden lion. Luna's butterflies were not yet allowed to fight for a month since they were newborns. Maximo and Zachary's spirit beast were still a baby and could not fight against the crab. The fennec fox of Zachary and Maximo's silver wolf would die immediately if they fought against the crab. Soheila's newborn Gigantic Firebird was too small and

The pack leader's defeat was undeniable, and any further violence would serve no purpose. Seizing the moment, I turned to the loyal werewolf guardians who stood across from us. "Take your pack leader and lock him up in the holding cell," I commanded firmly. "No food, no water. It's time for him to reflect on his actions." The guardians, their expressions torn between loyalty and confusion, reluctantly obeyed my orders. They approached the defeated pack leader, who bore the weight of defeat on his wounded body and escorted him away to the confines of the holding cell.
