"Ready?" Aurelia nodded and prepared to draw Lion's Fang. She took several deep breaths to relax her jangled nerves. Her eyes never left Zinjo's tail. It wriggled back and forth. His tail raised like a flag, and Zinjo propelled himself forward with the speed of a viper. He roared. Aurelia followed suit and slashed the air after she rolled to her feet. The Bandits froze in fear at the sight of the lions. The armored leader pointed at them, "G-g-guardian lions, Lord Nian does not have them in front of his home."

Lionel waved his hand, dismissed everyone in the room, and said, "You can do this yourself next time. You're their Luna, the most respected woman in the pack. You can do whatever you want." Hearing this, I couldn't help but tease, "Really? Anything?" Lionel was silent for a while before he responded, "You can't leave me or fall in love with someone else. I will be everything else for you, even if it’s wrong." I heard Franz let out a disdainful snicker from the side before saying, "Don't believe him, Rylee. He loves to sweet talk." Lionel narrowed his eyes at Franz. "Are you going to eat or not? If you're not hungry, you can head to the training grounds and train the new recruits."

Leon's eyes widened, trying to see who had succeeded, the lion or Claire. An instant later, the lion roared angrily as he walked in circles.

Liam stopped walking, he silently clenched his fists. He pretended to be angry, strode in front of a guard, and fiercely grabbed his collar: "Open your eyes and see clearly. Who am I? How dare you not recognize me?" The two guards were frightened by Liam's sudden anger and looked at each other. The guard whose collar he grabbed replied under his breath: "We are guards recruited by the princess. We were brought straight to see Sir Charles. We don't recognize you." Liam laughed coldly: "Didn't realize that was true."

The Lycan said to the young guard. "She'll try and escape again, King." The guard said with utmost respect. "Is that so? I'd like to see her try. You can leave." He waved the guard who bowed and hurried out of the place. Xylia could only stare foolishly. But as soon as it was just the two of them, the mate bond pulled stronger. Immediate regret flows through the alpha but before he can grit out an apology, his bodyguard is already waving it off and leaning in to 'whisper' to him.
