A Contract Not To Fall In Love
He gently rolled onto his side, pulling Ivy beneath him.
His fingers traced the curve of her face, pushing stray strands of hair behind her ear.
"Believe me, Ivy." Victor's voice was laced with emotion. "You're the only woman who's ever made me lose control. From the very beginning, I've been drawn to you."
His eyes burned with intensity.
"I lied that day, Ivy. I lied to myself, too. I didn't want to admit how deeply I'd fallen for you."
"I made a contract with myself," Victor confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. "A contract not to fall in love with you. But I failed miserably."
