The Love Contract Novels & Stories

-I don't want to do this, because I'm stressing out, it's absurd, if they knew that we don't follow the rules of a contract, including the part that says we can't give each other roses, that's absurd, you know you should burn that contract, there's no need to pretend anymore, if we both love each other, it's serious that we can't make love, nobody knows it, I don't know why we can't burn that contract, that contract, my dream is with you, and you know I won't pay attention to an absurd contract, I want us to sleep in the same bed, we have to try, I don't know why it terrifies me, but now it's worth it, I just want to feel you, and this class thing sucks to have a tutor, if I have to do face

Caelen added the second page, then the third, until all evidence of our contractual beginning was turning to ash. "That's our past," I said, watching the last page blacken and disintegrate. "The contract that brought us together but doesn't define us anymore." "And this…" Caelen held up his right hand, the new ring catching firelight. "...this is our future. Chosen freely. Built on love instead of necessity." We made love slowly that night, in front of the dying fire, with no child to interrupt or medical trauma to process or contractual obligations hanging over us. Just two people who had chosen each other, repeatedly and intentionally, despite every reason not to.

He handed it to me. “What’s this?” I asked softly. “Our agreement contract,” he replied shortly. I didn’t say another word and opened the folder. The contract was short, but one particular section caught my attention—the rules. 1. No dating with others. 2. Saying “I love you” is a must. 3. Should be affectionate, especially in front of others. 4. PDA is allowed, especially when needed. 5. No one should know about the contract, just the two people who signed below.

I muttered under my breath. “Excuse me.” “Nothing.” I said getting up to leave his office. “One more thing,” he announced, and I turned to hear what he had to say. “You're not allowed to fall in love with me, it's part of the contract, once you do, the contract will be terminated and you'll receive no benefits, except, of course, if the child is born.” “I assure you, that wouldn’t happen.” I responded and left his office. I'm not allowed to fall in love with him? Like anyone would want to fall for a nonchalant ass like him. This contract should be as easy as a pie, right?

“I love you so much, and I will never get tired of telling you about this. You are the best thing that happened to me as well with Apollo. I realized that you are really bound to me. The Moon Goddess' plans for me are the best plan that happened. I had faced a lot of trouble in the past but the best trouble that I can't ever forget is when I decided to take you from the Red Moon Pack. I know at first I had different plans, but then I ended up loving you. I'm just really so grateful that you are the woman I loved. You brought so much joy to my life. I couldn't wish for anything but to give you and our son protection.” Ares made me so emotional again. I can't even imagine that we got this far.

“Close the door. Sit.” I did as he asked, my pulse racing. “Everything okay, boss?” I asked. He pushed a document across the desk. “Read it. Then sign.” I looked at the title. My heart stuttered. ‘LOVERS CONTRACT’ My eyes scanned the document. Rules. Boundaries. Expectations. This arrangement is strictly physical. No romantic involvement. No babies. Complete discretion at all times. Secret encounters. The submissive lover undertakes to accept every sexual command she is given without complaint until she has been tamed.

"I know it's not fair to you, Elysia. But please understand that I never wanted to hurt you. I have always loved you, even if our marriage was not a result of that love." Elysia shook her head, feeling as if her mind was clouded with confusion and pain. "Love? What love? How can there be love in a contract, in something that was never even my choice?" Damon's hand brushed against her cheek, and Elysia recoiled from his touch. "Love can exist in the most unlikely places, Elysia. Even in a contract, even in something that was never your choice. I have always loved you, and I always will."

“These are the rules of the contract. Go through it and let me know when you think.” I swallowed hard, eyes darted around the black and white ink. NO LOVE. But we have to convince everyone that we are in love and I need to perform Luna duties diligently. No one knows that we are in a contract marriage. He never cared beyond what she could provide: a suitable wife, an acceptable companion for charity galas and business dinners, someone who knew how to smile at the right moments and fade into the background when required. She had traded genuine love… the kind that asked nothing and gave everything, for a life where she existed as nothing more than a convenient transaction. A merger of families. A checkmark on someone else's list of accomplishments. Her chest tightened, the familiar ache spreading through her ribs like cracks in ice. Nina closed her eyes briefly, pressing her fingertips against her temples as if she could physically push the thoughts away. Not tonight, she told herself firmly
