A slow smile lights up her face and she nods, preening lightly, “Well, I was going to say congratulations, on the Moon Jubilee. It was spectacular, and there’s really no other word for it.” I smile indulgently, “Thank you very much. I’m glad everyone enjoyed it.” She nods and looks away, this time with a slight blush coloring her cheeks, “I also wanted to ask if I could help you with what you’re looking for. Is it a work of fiction or some bit of pack history? I’m the assistant librarian, and we barely get anyone in the library lately, except for the random few of course.” I heave a breath of relief when I hear that because hells, I was starting to get a little bit frustrated.

I raised my head up quickly at the sound of my name. “ I am. ” I stood up as the librarian scrutinized me. She was the new librarian, Lucy Wenford, a British American. Too beautiful to be unmarried but rumor has it that she was more interested in women. “ Okay. ” She gave me a look of pity before walking away to her desk which was at the far end of the library. For the first time, I was thankful I had company and super thankful that I stayed in a seat, too far away from the watchful eyes of the librarian.

The coffee shop in the corner, with its bustling baristas and gentle chatter, adds a lively touch to the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. As I make my way deeper into the library, the silence is almost palpable, punctuated only by the soft thud of books being pulled from shelves and the occasional whisper of a patron requesting assistance from a librarian. The very air seems to vibrate with the weight of knowledge and imagination, and I can't help but feel a sense of reverence wash over me. This is a place where minds come to expand, where ideas are born, and where the love of learning reigns supreme. I watch him approach the librarian, who looks up from her desk with a warm smile. She looked up as we crashed onto the marble floor, her eyes—one gold, one silver—studying us with interest. "Well," she said, her voice like music and thunder combined. "This is unexpected.
