“Welcome, Luna.” The voices echoed through the night. Lyra froze. Nobody had ever bowed to her before. She instinctively took a step back, unsure whether they were truly speaking to her. One of the elderly council members stepped forward, his eyes widening the moment he looked at Lyra. “It’s really her. The Moon Goddess…” Before he could finish, Dominic stepped in front of him. “This is Lyra Ashbourne,” he said calmly. “The temporary Luna Queen of the Northern Kingdom.” The old man’s expression immediately changed.

Kael stood beside Luna. "That's a lot of enemies." Luna glanced at him. "You're supposed to make me feel better." "I was being honest." She almost smiled. Then the Blood Queen spoke. "Luna Blackwood." Luna stepped forward. "You're the one who wants the Moon." "I don't want it." The queen smiled. "I need it." "Why?" "Because without it, my people will remain trapped between worlds." Luna frowned. "What people?" The queen raised her hand. The creatures behind her began changing.

I asked the elder. "There can be a royal couple for each order, so yes, there can be." "Then we accept," Tyler's voice rang out. Huw and Jenny were crowned and named Alpha and Luna of Black Water. I was so happy for my friend and sister. After everything she has been through and sacrificed for everyone, including myself, she is now getting her reward. I chuckled. “You're a true omega Luna” she whisper to me. "I'm not an omega," I reminded her, laughing softly. "No," she agreed. "But you fought for them like you were one of them, you fought for all of us." She squeezed me a little tighter. "That makes you their queen whether you like it or not." She didn't say anything, just squeezed me tighter, after a moment I turned to look at her properly.

So, I go near her and cup her face with my hands. "You are not any of these. Do you hear me?" I say more like demand while wiping her tears with my thumbs. "Then what am I?" She asks in a broken tone. "You are the Luna Queen and it's high time to show the world what your capable of doing." I reply determinedly looking at her with eyes full of love and pride.

She will never talk to me again. I let out a sigh and left the castle, going outside and taking a look around the pack and it wasn't as beautiful and joyous as I left it. There was a depressing aura moving around and I couldn't help but feel sick to my stomach. How can he ruin things like this? Is it really hard to maintain a pack and keep it safe? "It's hard especially when you forcefully take someone's throne," The moon goddess popped out of nowhere and stood next to me. "Luna ma," I bowed my head in respect and she patted it lightly.
